If you're in Texas and craving some top-tier barbecue, Terry Black's Barbecue is the place to go! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of slow-smoked meats fills the air, setting the tone for an unforgettable meal. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a beautiful bark and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The mac & cheese was creamy and well-seasoned, definitely a standout side! The potato salad was fresh, with just the right amount of seasoning and a hint of paprika. The meal also came with classic BBQ accompaniments like pickles, onions, and soft white bread. For dessert, the Oreo pudding was a delightful, creamy treat to finish off the meal. The outdoor and indoor setup is welcoming, with a classic Texas BBQ joint feel.Watching the pit smokers in action makes you appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into their meats. The line moves quickly, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The self-serve sides and the overall experience make it a fun, interactive dining spot.Terry Black's delivers on flavor, authenticity, and quality. Whether you're a BBQ connoisseur or just looking for a great meal, this spot is worth the visit!Would definitely recommend and return for more!

I have so much positive feedback as a first timer. My husband is a BBQ, meat loving dude and he was super impressed with the meat. We loved the pork ribs and brisket they fell off the bone and was slabbed with delicious bbq.We loved the sides; mac and cheese and beans. I was skeptical for the beans but WOW it had pork and brisket which made it so delicious. The service was great, the woman who was cleaning around offered us to-go boxes and containers, asked if we wanted to take sauces to-go as well, she was very sweet. The ambiance was giving 'cozy-fireplace-cabin vibes and i loved the little christmas lights. it was packed but it wasn't loud. Will definitely be coming back for more!!

I've had BBQ before, wasn't a fan and I would honestly avoid it like the plague. I was here on Valentine's Day at noon and it was still busy, not as crazy busy as last weekend when we didn't get lucky making it since we had no luck with parking. There are no reservations or a waitlist on Yelp. It's on a first come first serve basis. For starters, you must order and have your food before you sit at a table. I highly recommend you look at the menu beforehand so you're ready. Once in line, you order your sides, for example, mac-n-cheese, potato salad, etc, and then you move on to choosing your meat (ribs, brisket, sausage, etc), you pay, and off you go to find a table to sit and eat. The ribs were so flavorful and such delicious goodness. I didn't even have to add extra sauce, it spoke volumes of how amazing the ribs were, that they were solid and didn't need seasonings or sauces. To me, it was perfect just the way it was. Its glaze was the bomb and the way the meat came off the bone was great. 10/5The brisket pieces I had consisted of a lot of fat, so I wasn't a huge fan just based on the pieces I got. However, the few bits that were not fat with their sauces were pretty good. 4/5The sausage was cooked just the way I like it and was savory on its own. No need to add anything. 5/5The mac-n-cheese was good, definitely better than so many others I've had. 4.5/5The potato salad was seasoned well and tasted good. 4.5/5Their customer service was great, we had staff check up on us periodically while we were eating. The cozy homey ambiance, filled with lively chatter, further enhances the sense of hospitality and community within the restaurant.I am stoked we found this spot. It was a lovely Valentine's Day lunch. I will be coming back and bringing my peeps. Highly highly recommend this spot. Happy Yelping and SYOY.

Another great BBQ restaurant in Fort Worth. I've been to the Terry Black's in Lockhart and this one is just as good. Walked into a fairly sizable line almost as soon as I opened the door. It moved quickly, this place hasn't been open super long but it's like a well oiled machine. You get your sides first here, I went with the mac n cheese and it's very creamy and good. Next you order your meat by the pound. I got ribs and moist brisket. Man it was good. Ribs were so tender they just about fell off the bone. Great smoke flavor, mmmmm tasty. The brisket had a wonderful bark on it, just wonderful. No sauce required at this place. There's plenty of seating, especially when the weather is nice as there is a pretty good outdoor area for seating as well. The inside is inviting and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Great spot!

I was excited to try Terry Black BBQ at this location after visiting the one in Austin. When we arrived at noon, we followed instructions, ordering sides first and then select meats at the cashier's. Ambiance was family friendly and country store vibe. The meat was so moist and we loved the cream corn. When we were about to leave, we asked the employee how they smoked the sausage and he explained to us. It was a great experience and I will always miss it!

For my first visit I wanted to grab take out after work. It was super quick and easy. You order sides and desserts first then take them to the checkout and get your meats which are weighed right in front of you. The creamed corn is fantastic!!! Sweet but savory! The coleslaw and potato salad are what you'd expect from a bbq joint and also tasty. I got the chopped brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage. Both were extra tasty. Had the best chopped brisket salad with the thick Texas bread they include with takeout. They also throw in onions and pickles and peppers by request for takeout. Everything was really good. Will definitely return to check out the inside vibe a bit more.

My in-laws treated us to Texas bbq during our holiday trip. We went to Terry Blacks in Fort Worth and it was quite an experience. You walk into a line to build your own tray of sides, meats, and desserts with multiple chances along the way to pick up your beverage of choice. The Mac & cheese, green beans, brisket, and beef rib were the standouts while everything else was tasty as well. Definitely recommend heading to Terry Blacks!

I understand good BBQ is expensive but it's hard to justify $36 per pound for a beef rib when a good portion of that is the bone. Weighed out it was 1.730lb so one rib was $62.25. It was fall off the bone tender and the flavor was good but I doubt I will order it again. The cream corn was heavy on the sweet side and the pinto beans had a good flavor but my wife and I agreed it was too salty. The corn bread was delicious and the peach cobbler was tasty.I should have paid more attention to the receipt and the menu but now I notice the Chopped Beef Sandwich Combo $19.25 was to included a bag of chips and a regular drink. We were charged for an extra side, most likely the bag of chips and because we ordered two beers we were not offered a cup for the regular drink as part of the combo. If you don't want to be cramped I suggest you do not sit on the raised platform. The chairs were comfortable but the spacing between the tables is tight leaving little room to walk between without feeling the glare of other patrons needing to scooch in to let you by. We'll probably wait until the weather warms up before we attempt another visit to try and sit outside.
