Swanky Spaces

Attended an event at Swanky Spaces this weekend and realized although I've been a few times (for different events) I've never left a Yelp review! Very intentional and well put together open space for everything from intimate dinners and get togethers to birthdays, baby & bridal showers, you name it. The venue itself also hosts fun events from time to time. Restroom- Clean and stocked. Appreciated the good lighting and mirrors in the women's restroom. Parking is usually a concern with event planning/attending events, here at Swanky Spaces parking is plentiful, so no worries there. Can't wait to attend more events & will continue to recommend this venue every time I hear of someone looking for an event space.

My wife and I attended our dear friend's daughter's 16th birthday party at this venue and to say that it was a "hot" mess would be an understatement. The air conditioning system was not working at all. That day/evening was around 95 degrees and the venue faced west towards the afternoon sun which all the more intensified the heat inside the space, which was also 95 degrees inside with no air flow at all. It is my understanding the proprietor was there just prior to start of the event to turn on the air conditioning system and then left. It was after that we all began to realize that there was a problem with the system since there was no air flow from the vents and the temperature on the thermostat continued to rise. I feel there could have been other preventative steps taken for instance knowing there was an event at my venue this day I would have turned on the A/C first thing in the morning at the coolest part of the day. From there if I saw there was an issue it would be possible for me to come up with a solution or at least provide an advanced update to my clients of the situation. What baffled me the most was that guests of the party we leaving to go to there homes and bring in their own fans and portable A/C units to try and salvage the party from the sweltering heat, all the while the owner of the venue was know where in sight... only communicating via text message. Furthermore I commend all the guests who came out to celebrate the Birthday Girl and not let this unfortunate situation ruin the occasion. Especially those who went above and beyond to grab fans, ice and extra water to try and keep everyone cooled off. I hope this feedback is taken to heart by the owner and can learn from this situation so that it can prevented for future events.

Swanky Spaces is a great venue for gathering with 5 to 50 friends. Our evening went wonderfully. Thank you Vella and Key..!

Do not recommend at all. AC was broke nothing was done to resolve issue! Management/Owner is not good the issues should have been resolved prior to the party.

This is a cute place. My review is based on the fact that the ac wasnt working and nothing was done to fix the issue. It was reaching triple digits out doors and inside was reading 94 on the thermostat and only willing to refund 23% and deposit not a way to handle business. Everything from the cake pops to the cakes were melting. How about the refund on that??

This is a cute venue. However I would not recommend at all to ANYONE! we attended a 16th Birthday party here and the AC was not working. The owner was notified but told us to close the doors and it would cool down. Close the doors so no air is circulating? yea that's smart. it was triple digits today and 97 degrees in the venue. As a venue owner this should have been checked prior to the event. We couldn't even enjoy the venue as we hung out outside because it felt better. I have read the comments prior to this review where the owner is stating that 50% was offered back however I in fact saw the communication between the host and the owner and 20% was offered maybe it was changed later on?! This was a special day and the owner did nothing to try and resolve it. Yes it Saturday but someone should have been called out to fix the AC. I would not recommend you waste your time or money on this venue. Super cute but management is not good.
