Always my preferred stop for Indian street food like the chats, sugarcane juice, the vadas, various fritters, pastries and so on, the food we had was great in taste but not heated at all, I mean acold day and chilli bajjis- its meant to be steaming hot even if its only microwaved .The pani puri though was great with the hot ragda, and the sev also had ragda which was hot. Still, the street food here is better than closer home so .... even when everything is served in take away plates and boxes. Of course they have huge array of Indian food in terms of dald, pacchadis, kooras and so on, and it is a part grocery store too, so basically like one stop shop. Ambiance is - you can probably guess from the above, a little noisy and crowded, and the limited seating area is acceptable only if you get lucky to get the front two rows.In summary- an traditional Indian in Dallas ; You simply cannot survive without depending on Swadeshi for one thing or another.

This place used to be great for groceries, Indian chaats and appetizers. It's still OK, but quality has really deteriorated over the past 12-14 months. Most of the appetizers tend to be dried out, especially the chicken stuff which is stale, even on weekends. Nowadays I go 1/2 mile down to Hello India; they now have the quality that Swadeshi used to have until 2020-21.

These guys make poori with reused oil and all purpose floor mixed . They showed me that they are using whole wheat , but definitely tastes like all purpose.

Excellent place for having pani puri. The pani puri tasted exactly like the street style. Their chaat counter is always crowded. However, when we ordered daal for togo the daal was stale.

It's stationed behind a grocery store so couldn't expect much. I got onion samosa it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I definitely enjoyed the kadai paneer and garlic naan. We asked for spicy and did not regret it as they did not load it on extra chilli powder. Lastly the ulavacharu egg biryani was something new for us to try but I'd rather pick regular Hyderabad biryani . Oh I almost forgot the pineapple and black forest pastries I got. If you felt that you would've be reminiscing the summers in India, don't even go there. They are dry and just filled with whipped cream. Nothing like the taste you would remember from back home , which is Hyderabad for me .

In the back of the grocery store they have a restaurant and bakery. I went on a Saturday and the parking lot was full. I got the garlic naan, tandoori roti, and chicken tikka masala. Everything was good! The roti and naan were fresh. There was not much chicken in the tikka masala, but it was still tasty. I waited around 30 minutes to get my order. I would recommend ordering ahead of time and picking it up (not much seating).

The prices are unreasonable. Just unreasonable for every item. 4 pieces of chikki $85 pieces of Ariselu is $7. Each arise is $1.40. Really?
