This place was awesome! I have driven by this place a few times and I finally had a reason to come in. I was looking for a tortilla press. I go through random cooking phases and now I'm venturing into corn tortilla making. When I walked into this market, I was welcomed with Mexican rock. It sounded pretty cool. It was like a mix of Bush and Bad Religion but in Spanish. In a trance brought on by the hypnotic music I followed my nose. What was this enticing smell? "OMFG!" my sister exclaimed. Chicharrones and soft tortillas made right on the spot! We grabbed one of each and placed it into our hand basket. We were beaming. The nice ladies at the meat counter gave us samples of ham. It was light and salty. It was alright not amazing enough to buy. I roamed around in search of my tortilla press. No luck but I did end up going home with some plaintains, chicharrones, tortillas, masa mix, and the most awesome ice cream bars. you really have to try to these frozen delights. They're made nearby (I think I saw a shop with the same name nearby) and tastes just like real fruit. I chose guava and my sister got strawberry. They were frozen bites of heaven. I so want to try their coconut one. I bet it's divine. I really enjoyed this sweet Mexican Market. I loved that it was fully decorated with soccer stuff and that everything was set up in an organized chaos. It felt like being in a completely different world. Next time I'll have to try the taco and torta shop connect to it because it smelled pretty darn awesome. There was a line and we had to go- after all we were in search of our tortilla press. I don't know about their other locations but this particular store is awesome. I know I won't be going back to Fiesta anytime soon now that I have found this place. :) Come and leave with some ice cream bars and maybe a pinata (i sooo wanted one). I promise won't leave without a smile on your face. :D

Been coming to Monterrey to get my fajita meat since I moved here back in 2009, but after today I will never return! Went and got fajita meat, chicken and salchicha, came home fire up the grill and as I'm about to put the chicken on the grill BAMMM!!! A huge roach !!! Disgusting!!! I immediately call and complain and no manager available the lady who answered was nice and all and went and returned each and everything I bought with no problem but still very disturbed by this.

I love their tortillas and the carnitas that they sell, so amazing! I seriously could eat like 3 or 4 tortillas with just a little butter when they are hot. They get me in trouble! My home girl comes here for a bunch of things. And Cesar's next door is so good too!

Now if you're looking for some tortillas, this is the place to go to, their tortillas are made fresh daily. Both corn and flour tortillas are delicious! We also always purchase meat from the carniceria, they have a variety of cuts. On Sundays after church when we don't feel like cooking we stop by to buy fajitas already cooked sold by the pound, it includes tortillas, beans and salsa. My husband loves their chicharron prensado! They have weekly specials on meat and also fruits and vegetables.

Nice little Mexican grocery store. The parking lot is small and gets full sometimes. Their selection of items is limited as the store is small for a grocery store. The reason I give it 4 stars is because their prices are great! You can get a pound of ham from deli for about $3 or less. They always have specials on their meat. The bollio bread is the best and so is their Mexican sweet bread. Caution on bread: make sure you press a Little on it with tongs to make sure it is fresh. If the bread is fresh it will be the best you ever had. I have come in here and walked out with weeks worth of bread, ham and cheese for less than 7 bucks. Lunch for the week at a little over a buck a day!!

Review is for the taco shop in the corner of the market. Best Mexican food I have had since leaving San Diego area. I had the Pastor tacos, that came with delicious refried beans and Mexican style rice- and my favorite- Grapefruit Fanta! Service was fast, friendly and definitely Authentic. I would pass on the flautas- They were rolled with corn tortillas not flour?
