Walking in at 815 , 45 minutes before closing. Ryan greeted us at the door and told us that if we were dinning in we would have to leave right at 9. The most horrible welcome to a restaurant I have ever had. So we left at 815 instead. Ryan had plans tonight or something and we did not want to interfere with them.

For being a Friday night around 5pm I was wondering if they'd be busy with a dinner rush but the restaurant was only 1/3 occupied by customers. I was concerned the lack of customers during what should be a busier day and time may mean our experience wouldn't be too great but alas we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We were greeted and seated fast. A prompt drink order was taken and delivered. Appetizer was ordered and delivered in a reasonable amount of time. For the appetizer we got the Sumo Platter with Egg rolls, Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Tempura, and Gyoza. This platter is of the deep fried variety; the fillings were all delicious but there was definitely a heavier batter used. The Crab Rangoons were my favorite; very nice flavor. My friend ordered a Sumo box and it was quite a lot of food! I ordered a Philadelphia Roll, Spicy Tuna Toll, and a specialty roll called the Moon Roll. Everything was delicious! The rice to fish and other filling ratios were perfect. Overall, other than the heavy fried appetizer, the sushi was amazing! Like most place they charge for a side of sauce - this is something I do not like but what can you do and they have a great Spicy Mayo sauce. Our waiter was very attentive throughout our dinner. We will definitely be returning and I am hoping that ordering take out will taste just as delicious!

Came for lunch and purchased their lunch special, 2 sushi rolls for $12. I picked a salmon and tuna sushi roll. I asked for no cucumber because to me, it ruins the sushi and I was left with the smallest piece of salmon and tuna. It's as small as when you clip your nails and that part of the nail falls off.. that was what was in my sushi. I left hungry. On top of that, miso soup wasn't included in the "lunch special". $20 to leave hungry. The nanoscopic amount of protein didn't sustain me at all. NEVER COMING TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!

We weren't overly impressed but it's decent weeknight sushi. We came in on a Wednesday night around 530 and it was pretty quiet but the service was decently attentive. The udon noodles were super thick and gooey but that's what our toddler likes so it was a win in his book.The crazy roll was pretty good, I usually avoid deep fried rolls but the fish inside still was good and raw so it was a good balance. There were mostly families inside so it def seemed kid friendly.

Food is innovative and amazing! If you love fresh, robust flavored sushi this is your place. They have special flavors to represent the taste of every holiday or season. I've tried lots of sushi from venue to venue and cost to cost and I'll alway come back to Sumo. Check it out! Haslet roll, monkey brains, spicy roll, summer roll ( in summer) to name a few... Note: They close ON TIME and take card numbers over the phone on all order (This makes me uncomfortable so I took away a star) .

Never again!!!! I ordered beef yakisoba noodles and it was like $14 it had about 6 tiny pieces of beef in it. I used the chopsticks for scale.
