Stonehouse B&B is the best place to stay in the Stockyards if you want the true cowboy bunkhouse experience. Clean linens, clean bath facilities, convenient to everyplace in the Stockyards district. Miss Paula was wonderful to make reservations with and the Innkeeper, Carey was the best, with her big Texas smile, friendly welcoming attitude, and love her accent, a true Texas lady. She even checked in with me to make sure everything was ok with the room. I will definitely return when I want to get out of town for the weekend. Jim Allen.

This is best place to stay in Hells Half Mile. You can party at any of maybe 40 saloons and bars within walking distance and there is plenty of good food and music close by as well. I have stayed in the Horse room and the Bosses Room and both were Great! The best part about this place is Deb the manager. She's so sweet and helpful.

I spent the weekend here and I enjoyed my stay in the Indian Room. Debbie, the innkeeper, is funny and attentive to your needs and was full of ghost stories (yes, the Stonehouse and Miss Molly's are reportedly haunted). The walls are thin and everything creaks when people walk around so it is never entirely quiet. That being said, it is a great place to stay because it is walking distance from the bars (I didn't go to any of the bars) but you avoid all of the music/noise. Some of my friends were spending the weekend at Miss Molly's and the music/noise over there was ridiculous. I was glad to come back to a quiet room. The bed was comfortable but I was disappointed in the breakfast. The website describes and pictures a hot lumberjack-type of breakfast but they actually offer pop tarts and granola bars with the coffee. The also have a variety of bottled water and juices. They have a private lot but parking is still really, really tight.

The only nice thing about this B&B was the manager. She was very friendly and helpful to us. They do not serve any breakfast now but they do offer coffee. We did not get any sleep because the noise from the bars is very loud. If you are looking for a place to walk to from the bars this is your place, if you want to sleep then find another hotel.
