We have been coming to Star India for over a decade. We have had Indian food throughout the States and overseas in a few countries and Star India is hands down our favorite Indian restaurant. Their food consistently has the best flavors and for an American pallet is spicy, but only to the point if good flavor and not burning your mouth off so that you cannot enjoy it. This mom and pop restaurant has been run by the same owners with mostly the same staff all this time. Their buffet always has a soup that changes regularly, cold vegetarian options, and all of the standard Indian dishes: chicken tiki masala, lamb vindaloo, samosas, rice pullao, tandoori chicken, beef & lamb kofta, pakoda, etc. the usually have rice pudding at the end and sometimes mango pudding--these seem to just be put out once a day and once they are out they do not refill. The naan is made to order and you can watch the owner making it though a window. The lot is in a strip mall with shared parking and is limited, but u can usually get a spot. Tips: (1) use small bowls to separate ur curries so that the flavors do not mix, (2) eat the naan instead of rice cause it is made fresh and tastes great right out of the oven, (3) if rice and/or mango pudding is available then get it right away before other customers finish it as they do not refill those for the day once they r gone. (4) wash or sanitize ur hands after going to the buffet. (5) they close between lunch and dinner so check online to see the current hours before going. (6) they normally have the buffet all the time, but COVID may have changed the buffet times. Check with them for the current buffet schedule do u don't miss it. (7) leave them at least a 10% tip, which is standard for buffets since they clear ur plates, refill ur drinks, and bring u bread made yo order. The prices have gone up over the years but they are still worth it. Even if u r wary of Indian food for the spicy reputation, give these guys a try and u will be pleasantly surprised. We highly recommend them.

Wonderful!! Ordered the Channa Masala and I was a little skeptical at the appearance at first, I am more accustomed to seeing more gravy.. but it did not disappoint!! Was honestly one of the best Channa Masalas that ive had. Incredible fresh Naan, chewy moist rice!! Everything packaged efficiently and nothing spilled. Included utensils too! 10/10!

Namaste. Hi There.I have been going to Star India in Arlington since 2009.The vegetarian food is simply amazing. Especially Palak Panneer and Baingan Barta. And Bhaisaheb makes the best Naan in Dallas. Have eaten in so many places, but BhaiSaheb's Naan is clearly the topmost favorite.Their Broccoli Curry and Vegetable Pakoras in the buffet are simply out of this world.Bhaisaheb and Bhabhi work really hard to serve awesome food. They also are wonderful conversationalists also.Hearty Congratulations on a great job, Bhabhi and BhaisahebBest wishes for continued success Masterji

Star India is a hidden gem in a plaza close to UTA. They offer a variety of selections on their menu. Vegetarian availabilities also included. This restaurant has been in business for decades and has the same great staff on hand. The meats are numerous with great sauces, and spice levels available. The appetizers and different Naan are great starters to an increasing and memorable India style cuisine. The curry lamb, chicken Tikka Makhni are superb and very flavorful. Try the chai tea as a finisher. Janeep is a great waitress with an unlimited amount of Indian cuisine. You will not be dissapointed.
