Splinters Axes & Ales

This place was so much fun!! I took my boyfriend for a date here and we caught on pretty fast. At first I wasn't sure if an hour was going to be long enough for us, but after throwing about 15 times I was already getting a little tired! It's fun to play little games and make it a competition! The guy working the bar was super nice and the drinks were good! Overall wonderful experience!!

Ambience is interesting-- a very novel idea of throwing axes and alcohol! While not the safest thing (I definitely have some reserves), the staff teach you the right form and how to not hurt yourself. I give it 4 stars because it still feels a bit unsafe, but as for the environment and the wait staff? Laid back and airy, the vibe is relaxed and friendly

Great atmosphere and a fun time! The staff actually takes time to teach you and your party how to throw so that you make the most of your time. As first timers, you will walk in as novices and leave amazed and surprised at how many times you actually nailed the shot. Fun time, we'll designed space, m and in a great location near TCU.

I think I found a sport I can compete in. A surprise night out and we all had a good time. I think we're going to build a target now. Or join the league. We'll see.

I was looking for something to do on a Sunday night and I found this place on the good olé yelp. I've never thrown Axes before so I thought it would of been a great adventure. So when I got here I was looking for parking and parking wasn't bad. There is a lot of street parking and a large parking lot in the back. The parking lot is well lit so I feel pretty safe leaving my truck there for the amount of time I will be there. As soon as I got there I received a great and happy welcome from the owner. I signed the standard waiver and they introduced me to the bar which I was fairly happy see. Then since it was our first time ever throwing axes we received great tutorial for throwing them. After the tutorial we were off and running. We had a blast learning and trying something new. After we were done the owner took his time to meet us. He was a good guy and I was happy my money was going to a good business owner. I would highly recommend this place to all that would love to try something new.

This place is excellent. Damon gave us a 15 minute lesson and it could not have been done better. We tried the Crackberry Cider and it was awesome. On tap is so much better than in a can. The whole place has a fun atmosphere.

So I saw this place online. Me and my wife have not gone on date night in awhile. Soooo much fun the owner was awesome nice beer selection, they even ordered us food from across the street. Can't wait til next date night to come again

Great experience! My partner and I went here for our anniversary because we have been wanting to for a while. Only down side was it being really hot. But the drink and fun time made up for it.
