This festival was crapped on so bad after the first year and I'm glad they had a change of venue to the speedway. The pictures looked absolutely stunning and the lineup this year appealed directly to my taste in EDM so I had to check it out. Any festival with Porter, Borgore, Flux, 3LAU, etc in my backyard needs to be attended. The ticket price was extremely affordable for a two day festival ($115). I loved this festival! There was so much room to dance and I never felt claustrophobic like at Life in Color or some other festivals I've been to. The production was incredible. They don't just have LED screens or big LED screens, they arrange them in such a way for each stage that you could have the same artist playing at the two larger stages and get a completely different experience. The LED screens piece together to project different parts of one visual. It's pretty damn awesome. Sound quality was amazing. Large variety of food. Beer was quite pricey for an EDM festival (that being said while I expected pricey beer). Parking is $20 and the lot was extremely easy to get in and out of. There is a massive Buc-ee's across the street from the speedway so it was the perfect spot for post hangover food. There was a surprisingly large amount of out of staters here and it was nice meeting people from all over the states at this festival. It is growing larger every year and it's inspiring to see the rapid growth of EDM in Texas. I hope they one day put this inside the Speedway and we get a three day Texas EDC :) One can dream! As an aspiring DJ who started learning a few months ago, I can certainly say I would love to play this festival next year if I got good enough!

After a reprehensible performance that was truly deserving of scathing public backlash last year, Something Wonderful has bounced back hard and killed it with incredible grace and success. Based on its size, quality, and logistical ease, Something Wonderful had surmounted as my best rave experience, to include Ultra, Something Wicked, and Tomorrowworld in the repertoire. Should this event grow- and it will- logistics will need to expand and change, but this was about as good as it gets and was planned appropriately. Pros:- Easy parking ($20) and traffic flow- No restroom lines- Plenty of space to dance without being squeezed to death- Really great effects for a smaller event - One stage on grass, so nice to sit and chill. They also created a pretty seating area at main stage if the concrete is too hard on your tush.- FANTASTIC crowd. That's the Texan way. Everyone was so polite and nice to each other. Nicest rave crowd thus far. Keep it going, guys. - Staff was incredibly nice, from water to parking lots. - Great time, great line up with solid variety. Cons:- Alcohol lines were stupid long. I'm a bartender, and even I was getting frustrated. We ended up not drinking at ALL because the lines were so long. - SoWo will need another water filling station, another bar, and more bathrooms next year when this expands, but that's for later. Tips:- Pack your own hand sanitizer. Festivals always run out in the first two hours. - Camelbak. All day. - Keep your phone, money, and ID on you. Not in your bag. I've been pickpocketed twice at raves. Could not have asked for a better one, and I gladly look forward to next year. Bravo, SoWo. You have truly won me over.
