Smith/Barfield Park

Great park. Structure looks new and has some fun, unique components, like carousel swings and a seated merry-go-round.The bathrooms are a stone's throw from the play structure, which is a HUGE PLUS.The flooring under the main play structure is rubber, but the swings have a bark bottom.There is a nice sized pavilion with picnic benches under it off to the side and a large grassy area behind that. The park is surrounded by mature trees, but unfortunately the area right around the playground was cleared out so there is no shade on the structure aside from two small canopies (which cover only a portion of the play structure). There is only one bench for the mamas and it's in full sun as well.I wouldn't recommend this park in the heat and sun of the summer, but on a cool or cloudy day, it's a fun playground to add to your rotation.

Great park, kids areas are fun, lots of slides. The swings are great for little ones because they have a two seater, one seat for parent and one for baby, I haven't seen a swing like this before. Nice shaded area, picnic tables. Parking is easy.

Brand new baseball themed playground and easily accessible restrooms! Great place for kiddos!
