Sinsational Cakes

I'd definitely recommend Sinsational Cakes for a special dessert at your next party! I placed an order via email around 12 days in advance for 2 dozen custom cupcakes (Snickerdoodle and S'mores). I emailed the team pictures of what I wanted and the cupcakes looked exactly how I wanted it to! The cupcakes were not too sweet and very moist! The reason I took off one star was because the S'mores cupcake lacked in flavor (almost had an almond/artificial taste to it). Additionally, they are closed on most days and have very limited hours which can be inconvenient.

Great service and cakes are always amazing and very delicious. Fast service as well. Will highly recommend this place for your cake needs

Delicious moist cupcakes. Me and a friend stopped by for her bday. We picked up a half-dozen cupcakes for her bday and hours later we had a cupcake tasting with our husbands. The cupcakes were delicious and tasty. We had the kiwi, strawberry lemonade, chocolate raspberry, lemon/lemon, chocolate/chocolate, and banana cream. We all had our own favorites. Mine was the lemon/lemon. There is a 1week order time to get a cake. Nicole was super gracious in telling us the story of Cupcake Wars and Cake Wars even though I know she's told the story a million and one times, she entertained us as though she hadn't and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting her. I definitely want to order my next cake from here!!

This bakery is still operating during the COVID-19 pandemic. Modified Hours of Operation:Sunday - Tuesday: ClosedWednesday - Friday: 11am - 5pmSaturday: 8am - 12pmI went a few minutes before closing because I didn't realize the hours were modified. Luckily there were a few cupcakes left. I got the Amaretto and Lemon and BlackBerry. The Amaretto has an almond flavor (you guessed it!) and was so moist, it practically melted in my mouth. Not to mention the decoration is really cute. The lemon and blackberry has a lemon curd filled center with a hints of blackberry. I felt that there wasn't enough blackberry in the cupcake, it just seemed like a few drops of blackberry juice in the cupcake itself and unlike the amaretto cupcake, this one was a bit dry. Both cupcakes have a buttercream frosting that isn't overly sweet (the lemon and blackberry cupcake has a lemon flavored buttercream)! The cupcakes are $3.50/piece and slightly bigger than your "standard" cupcake. I plan on going back at an earlier time so I can try other flavors!

I was extremely excited to visit this place! I was in town for my cousins birthday I wanted to find some really she cupcakes because we had a party at her house. I found this place and call the morning of and they let me know I could come in and pick out an assortment of the cupcakes. I made sure that I knew the time they will be open so that way I could make it over there.When I arrived I was not greeted as friendly as I would've hoped. It seems as if the owner or manager was in the middle of interviewing people, but how was I supposed to know the sign said open so we went into the bakery. She seem to be bothered that we came in, but I arrived about 45 minutes before they closed. She asked us what we want specifically and I just told her we were coming to pick up some cupcakes. She told one of the workers to help us out. The worker who helped us pick out the cupcakes was very helpful. We ended up getting a lot of different cupcakes, I was really surprised at the diversity they had in cupcakes. I wasn't sure what everybody would like so I literally almost got two of every cupcake they had left. The cupcakes were very well decorated and attractive, however the taste didn't necessarily follow. Every single cupcake tasted the same. And I don't know how that happened, but we had everything from strawberry, peach cobbler, Keylime, etc and they all tasted the same. Not one cupcake stood out from the rest. Beautifully decorated though! I don't know if the cakes are different but that's just my experience with the cupcakes.To be very honest if I wasn't pressed for time, I would've found another place just based off of the first 10 seconds of service. The manager did change her attitude once she saw we basically purchased the rest of the cupcakes she had available, but that's not cool. Maybe the manager was stressed out and had a lot on her plate, but that is not how you handle customers. This could definitely be a one off situation, but I still felt like it was unprofessional.I saw on her door she has been on some top baking shows and competition or something. So again might just be an off day. Give it a try yourself. I love supporting black businesses so wish you guys the best of luck!

I have the utmost appreciation for sinsational Cakes!!! I live in California and due to COVID I was not able to be with my Best Friend on her 40th birthday. I searched for a bakery that I could get a cake made to help me celebrate her on her big day. Sinsational Cakes was able to get the cake done and you did an amazing job on the 80's decor. The strawberry cake and lemon buttercream was the best that they ever had. You allowed me to be a part of my friends celebration. Thank you so much for your time and accommodations from California. The cake looked and tasted amazing!!!

First off, the cake aspect is yummy!! Chocolate cake was a bit dry. Cupcakes are decorated really cute! Staff was friendly. Problem #1If you have larger than normal cupcakes, find the right to go containers for your cupcakes. The cupcakes were all smashed in the small container. Problem #2The icing on all the cupcakes was WAY off. My husband and I could not put our finger on it. It was almost as if a whole bottle of vanilla extract was used. We will be back to try again. Everyone has off days.

"This is not your usual key lime pie! This is gourmet!" That's the quote I received recently after my friends tasted the pie made at Sinsational Cakes. And they should know! They vacation in Key West, Florida every year.

Amazing : ) I was determined to try these & sat outside for 30 minutes for them to open. All the cupcakes were yummy. Moist & not too sweet. It's a drive for me but if I'm back in the area I'll definitely stop by & get some cupcakes. Check them out Yelpers

Was really excited to try this place. Cupcakes were gorgeous with interesting flavor options. There was just something very off about the flavor of the frosting. Seemed very artificial, and left an aftertaste. All the cupcakes had the same issue.
