Had a really enjoyable meal here. The food quality was excellent--everything was fresh, and the broth had great flavor. There was a good variety of meats, seafood, and veggies, making it easy to customize our meal just how we liked it.The service was also great. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and the manager, Pearl, even checked in to make sure we were happy with our experience. Very solid spot for hot pot. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the service and food made it a place I'd definitely come back to.

Arrived on a cold, busy Saturday. The parking lot right in front of the place was extremely packed, but was pretty open on the opposite side of the lot.Comparable to a hot pot place like HaiDiLao, a la carte style, and when your eyes are bigger than your stomach it can get pricey. I think HaiDiLao edges out this place just slightly based on the experience and quality. Value wise, both are about the same. We paid around $125 for two people. The meat quality was good, which was to be expected if you're paying $20+ for a small platter of any of their selections. Other items were okay, nothing special. In my opinion, you'd be better off going to a chain like Liuyishou which has AYCE for much less than you would spend here. If anything, the quality of the meat and veggies + even soup base is on par or better than this place!

Broth, service, quality of ingredients, vibe, interior... Shoo Loong Kan is probably #1 in vibes and ambience and also up there in terms of service and quality of ingredients. My friend and I love hot pot, so we came this past weekend, and I think this location is even better than the one in Chicago. It's so clean, and our waitress was so attentive despite how busy she was. She came to fill up our water multiple times and even gave me a hairtie and an apron. She also gave us a rundown of the menu and handed us some really cute freebies at the end! It happened to be the 15th day after CNY, and everyone got little bowls of tangyuan, which is such a thoughtful touch. Broth is pretty good, but it's not my favorite in the city. However, that doesn't really matter because their sauce bar is stacked and you can make a top notch sauce with their ingredients. Everything is really high quality. The meat comes out beautifully. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and it actually makes you feel as if you're sitting in a restaurant in China. 10/10 would come again. This has become one of my favorite hot pot spots in the city!

I really think Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot in Richardson is the top spot for hot pot in Dallas so far. The broths are rich and flavorful; we tried the mild spicy, Tom Yum, and bone broth. All were excellent. Service is solid, and the meats are fresh and high-quality. The complimentary Häagen-Dazs ice cream at the end is a nice touch as it smoothes the spice from the spicy broth and plus I love Häagen-Dazs ice cream . They offer a 20% discount on Tuesdays, which is an amazing deal!

This is our new favorite hot pot spot!!! In comparison to a few other spots I've been to around town this one blew them out of the park. The service was amazing, our server was so sweet and attentive, made sure we were always fully stocked on everything and he peeled our shrimp for us! The environment was spacious and clean. They give you an apron for your shirt. I loved how it was big booths but they all had gaps to let people in and out easily. The broths were so flavorful, I loved the Tom yum, chicken, and the spicy beef that we got. Tom yum being the favorite one. The spicy beef we made sure to scoop out all of the numbing spicy peppers before it truly dissolved in the soup base, so I'm sure that helped us a lot.The portions for the meats and vegetables was much larger than I was expecting, we only needed like one portion of veggies really. The meats were excellent quality and they were great portion size. The free Haagen dazs ice cream at the end really knocked this out of the park for us. Can't wait to go back!

Another good option for hotpot. It is Al la carte!I thought the selection was pretty large and you get to order from an iPad. My favorite broth was definitely the spicy one. All the meats and seafood were fresh and nicely presented. The sauce bar was great!Service was decent. This place is always packed and the restaurant itself is very uniquely decorated. Gives off the urban vibes. Great spot to hang out with friends and eat!

I see the hype now. I don't really like hot pots that charge per item because with so many all you can eat with excellent quality, it's hard to compete. However, this place has quality proteins and choices. The soup options are excellent! I came with a girl friend of mine and we enjoyed everything. Here's what we got:3 flavour pot : the choices we got were the golden chicken broth, mushroom, and the medium spicy hot house mala beef broth. The mala beef broth was still extremely spicy even in medium so if you cannot handle spicy, just don't order this. If you can handle spicy, I'd still suggest getting the slightly spicy. This coming from a girl who LOVES spicy food and grew up in Malaysia. From all the choices, the golden chicken broth is the best. I love the flavor. All the meats are good. I recommend the lamb and ribeye. They are well marbled! The veggie selections were just okay but I do wish they would sell enoki mushrooms.I skipped seafood for now but they do have a lot of selections and look pretty fresh. I cannot comment now but I may update if I do try it.Now, they do charge you for sauces which is like $3. This is common in Asia but not really in the US so I was pretty... shock but not too bothered since the practice of charging you for every little thing is something I know too well. All in all, it's a great place for delicious hot pot.

This hot pot place hits the spot!! Plus we went on Tuesday when they had 20% off! Staff is quick to respond and helpful with any questions. Although it's not all you can eat, it's well worth it for their flavors and freshness. We got Tom yum and bone marrow and the spicy one. The spicy was definitely spice and I had to take a break and have some of the other soups because my mouth was burning but that's also when it's best. The meat was yummy and fresh. They had everything hot pot places usually have on the menu

This has definitely become my favorite hotpot spot. The tomato and the pork bone soup (white) was absolutely delicious. I loved the meat quality and the food came out super quick. The sauce bar had everything except sesame oil. The quality was delicious and our waiter was also the best. She was super nice and attentive and constantly came to check on us. She was extremely polite and even helped us get to-go items cause we could not finish. Absolutely amazing service. The restaurant itself is also beautiful. The decorations and layout is super nice and pretty. To top it all off, free haagen daaz ice cream at the end was amazing. Ultimately, I loved this spot and will definitely be returning!
