现在上海菜在上海都找到好的都不容易。在德州能找到一家还不错的真棒。For non Chinese readers.....you probably haven't had more than two authentic types of Chinese cuisine (there's eight major ones, and even more minor local ones ). This is actual legit Shanghainese food.

We came by for a birthday celebration on Saturday around noon. We made a reservation ahead of time, but they aren't required. In fact, there was plenty of seating still available. The restaurant is pretty spacious with lots of large tables, booths, and fancy-looking private rooms. Service was fast - food came out within 10 mins. You view the menu via a QR code, but have to order with the waitstaff. The restaurant gets fresh fish restocked every Saturday--ask about specials. We ordered the House Special Soya Braised Duck, Sauced Crab Meat with Rice, 3 Black Rock Cod, Mantis Shrimp, Stir-fried Edamame & Bamboo Shoots & Preserve Baby Bok Choy, and Shanghai Traditional Style Meat Balls. We ordered a lot so I won't talk about all of them. Everything was flavorful and authentic Shanghainese cuisine except the duck. Don't get me wrong - the duck is good, but if you're looking for Shanghainese braised duck then you won't get that here. The flavor just wasn't strong enough. Also the cod was special - the meat is served as a dish and the bones are used to make a soup. The soup was absolutely delicious, the meat was super tender.

Amazing, friendly service. You can tell the owner deeply cares for the business, and the employees respect him. Every dish was delicious. Grand opening week, so it was packed. Use the QR code at the table for the menu and order with waiter. There were many choices, but we tried to stick with their popular items. It's located at a plaza, so there were plenty of parking.

This is definitely the most authentic Shanghainese restaurant here in DFW. Targeting upscale customer looking for exquisiteness and authenticity and taste. Food is great. Don't gt me wrong. Service is good too. The reason I put 3.5 star is because the last dish we ordered. The scallion sauce of the scallion chicken is kind of sourish and taste bad. I think it turns bad especially if it is blended overnight. Overall it is not for those looking for value for money as dish portion is small for American standard. But once a while looking to indulge or some celebration or feasting with close friends or relatives.

Keep coming back to this restaurant! lol It is great to see an authentic Shanghainese restaurant finally open in the DFW area. Some dishes remind me of homemade cooking from my childhood. The servers are friendly, and some are native Shanghainese, which is great because it's nice to hear the local dialect.

Lovely decor, but Pricey. Style of food new to us but we were interested in trying something new. Dish we ordered was okay - nothing to write home about. Were told it was for 2 people, could easily have served 3-5, depending on appetite. Dint think the quality deserves the price. About half an hour after we got home, my husband suffered severe stomach issues. We definitely will not return.

Definitely going back!I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I've had my share of authentic to americanized Chinese food from nyc to San Francisco but never had food like this. I ordered several dishes, recommended by the friendly waiter. Each dish was so different and extremely flavorful. So light, fresh and different in a good way. I would describe this restaurant's food as upscale dining. Try the eggplant mustard salad, shrimp long egg rolls, sweet and sour baby ribs, meatballs, walnut with asparagus salad, and rice ball soup(dessert). Can't wait to go back to try other dishes.
