Senshi Grill & Sushi

This place is awesome! A lot smaller menu than we are used to for similar food in the city but outstanding nonetheless. The steak is second to none and the hibachi veggies are the best I've had. A lot of prep and care goes into every meal here! The inside isn't huge but it's the perfect size to be a maintainable "different" restaurant in Springtown! They always have what seems like a ton of takeout orders while we are dining in as well.

When walking in you are greeted with a please wait to be seated sign. We arrived at 5:30 on a Thursday and saw we must have beaten the dinner rush because we only saw one other table.The hostess saw us after a couple of minutes and asked if we wanted a high top table or regular table. We elected for the high top. We were greeted quickly and put in our drink order of Strawberry lemonade and water. The establishment will serve alcohol at some point but for now it's general common beverages.There is a big sign on the door saying no BYOB!I ordered the Crazy Roll and hubs ordered the Chicken Don.We waited about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. I was surprised the Edamame came with my roll. In other sushi restaurants tye shell is hot and soy bean is cold but this edamame was hot inside and out and was quite tasty.My roll was spicy, fresh and really good. I had a couple of bites of the Chicken Don which was excellent which is saying alot because I usually don't enjoy onions.The waitress said tye beef Don is even better.We will be back!The reason for only four stars is the owner and wait staff were all sitting at the sushi bar and couldn't see the front door which caused us to wait a couple of minutes in an empty restaurant and the Edamame appetizer came when my meal was brought.

A good sushi restaurant in the heart of downtown Springtown, Texas!It is situated on the square very near several shops and eateries. Parking seems ample but is often unpredictable, so give yourself a couple of minutes to get a spot. I went for lunch around 1PM, and I believe they close at 230 PM until dinner service. There was one other table occupied at that time, and I think they weren't far ahead of me. I waited just a moment to be seated and the hostess gave me my choice of where to sit. I don't think they have a drink machine because they brought a can of soda and a glass with ice. That is a little bit of a detractor for me, because sodas are $2.95.... Refills? Nope. It is an old building, and wide open inside, so with the high tin ceiling, it would need plenty loud if it were full. The dining area is dimly lit and sparse as far as decorations. There is a partition running through part of the dining room, probably as a buffer against the noise, but it also offers a little privacy, at least on one side. The menu was kept simple, with just a few choices, and nothing outside what I would say is standard fare. I ordered the an appetizer of eggrolls, but I had to get the chicken because they were out of pork. They came to the table piping hot on a bed of sliced cabbage, with a dish of sweet and sour sauce. They weren't the greatest I have ever had, and I really wanted these to be great having read all the 4 and 5 star reviews. I ordered the Senshi Roll which arrived in a timely manner and looked beautiful! I like spicy food and from the menu I saw this had serranos on it. I will say this roll does not disappoint! The spice level was right, the ingredients all meshed, and I liked the consistency of the rice they used. It was served with a dab of wasabe and some pickled ginger. The hostess, waitress was friendly but not over engaged. I suspect they had business to tend to involving closing up. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. It is nice to have a quality sushi place out this way! I am hovering between 3 and 4 stars...I will give them 4, but I think value for the dollar is lower than it could be, and the thing with the sodas kind of rubs me the wrong way.

What a great asset for Springtown! Amazing food and great service! Prices were reasonable too!

Oh man $2.95 for a 12oz can coke, no ice, no glass?!? :( Look, the very first time I ate here it was at best, okay). They were just opening so like most people I waited before going back and giving it a second chance. This past Friday my wife and went in to have lunch and the place was getting busy for lunch crowd, however, we were seated quickly and order was taken. My wife got the chicken fried rice and I got the Rainbow Row. $35 bucks for two at lunch isn't what I would consider pricey for a sit down lunch, although that $2.95 can coke throw me off a bit. The lunch portion of fried rice was probably just right. The rainbow roll, uhm kinda warm to be raw fish.

I love this place. The owners and staff are so friendly and the food is sooo good. Nice atmosphere. It really is a gem to have such a great Japanese restaurant here in Springtown. The chicken fried rice is my favorite.

The sushi is amazing My favorite is the chicken fried rice. My husband prefers the shrimp fried rice my only negative to say about it is the prices. It is quite a bit more than I would've expected and when they first open, the prices were not so bad recently. It seems like they have gone up, but everything has.

Every time I've been here I've been blown away at how good the food is and how friendly the servers are! I've gone many times and they deserve 5 stars for every visit! Today they deserve 10 stars because the chef made me exactly what I wanted and needed. Can't wait to visit again and keep this place open!

We absolutely love this place, so nice that Springtown has a great sushi / hibachi restaurant right in the middle of town with fantastic service! Always one of our first picks for date night!

I never give reviews, but the quality of the food , the rude disrespectful attitude of the owners makes me want to.Food is bland and tasteless and the way they treated my wife after she voiced our concerns was something that you shake your head and say " Did that just happen?"
