Quite an excellent little hidden spot in Irving. The food was well prepared, tasty and just absolutely delicious. Will return there again for sure.

The food and service was excellent. The staff is very friendly and takes their time answering questions about the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious; chicken tikka marsala, the chicken samosas, the meat platter with short ribs and chicken and beef kabobs and the chicken tikka skewers. We thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it.

My husband is a huge samosa fan and most weekends, he makes an excuse to make a trip into Patel Bothers to pick up their samosas. He says they are for me, but he eats 5 and I get one ; )While waiting for a medical appointment, I remembered that Samosa Hut was nearby and made a mental note to stop by on my way home.If you are looking for great ambiance and a bleached clean restaurant, this isn't the place for you. It definitely fits in the category of "hole in the wall"... I actually would not have been surprised to see one if I had walked completely around the restaurant. They offer an awesome variety of samosas, both veg and non-veg. I totally appreciated this! The female employee who took my order was friendly and efficient. Each samosa order contains 3 pieces. I ordered the spicy potato, spinach with paneer, and jalapeño cheese. Now, these samosas definitely are not what you typically get in an Indian eatery. These were more of the Pakistani variety. They are not super plump nor thick. But let me tell you, each type I ordered was delicious! AND, dear God above, the mint chutney sauce was incredible! I believe they make it there and it contained finely diced chilies. It was flavorful, left my tongue tingling but was still enjoyable. My hubby prefers the tamarind sauce and he really liked it all. I loved the unique choices. The spicy potato samosa contained the typical fillings. The spinach and paneer was super tasty, containing a good amount of spinach and tiny chopped paneer. The jalapeño cheese was what I thought a Pakistani version of jalapeño poppers. It contained a white cheese and small bits of jalapeño. Super good and interesting. I will definitely be returning for these tasty snacks and hopefully try some of their entrees.

Samosa Hut is a nice little "hole in the wall" place serving up mostly Pakistani food with a little twist. You can get traditional grilled platters or a few curries but you can also get a tikka burrito or samosas filled with interesting non-traditional fillings. You'll order at the counter and food will be brought to you. Prices are very reasonable for sure - and they have platters designed for sharing. I was here for lunch so had a chicken curry - with rice, naan and a mango lassi it was under $15. Not bad. My curry was really good - there was a good amount of dark meat chicken in it and the sauce was thick and well spiced. Naan was not what I'm used to - it was more like a pita bread texture but plenty good for scooping up tasty sauce. The guy at the counter was really nice and checked on me to make sure I was happy (I was!). Don't expect anything fancy on the interior but it was clean (including the restrooms). Vegetarians should know that the menu is somewhat limited and more meat focused than a traditional Indian place. Two thumbs up from me!

Samosa, sambusa, sambusek...This is the widely recognized pastry with delicious filling, no matter what you want to call it."What's in a name? That which we call..." yadda yadda, you know.Everyone and their mothers have a variation of this crowd favorite appetizer/snack.Samosa Hut & Grill take it upon themselves to push the boundaries further (literally across continents) to give you a variety of options to choose from other than the potatoes/peas, chicken and minced meat options you associate normally with a samosa from the sub-continent.Not here. With options like Jerk, Thai, Nacho and Pizza flavors, they definitely intrigue you.For the samosas, I opted for their lentil and jerk chicken options on this occasion. Any order comes with 3 pieces and also sides of sweet and tangy dipping sauces.I really enjoyed the lentil flavored one - The lentils came with a tomato based sauce and was flavorful and interesting. The jerk chicken also tasty (minced and perfectly season chicken filling) didn't offer the mild burn or punch that you normally associate with jerk seasoning or jerk sauce. I was looking for the scotch bonnet punch. Side of peri-peri fries - The peri-peri seasoning packed a punch, it is hot. But the fries lacked the crispy exterior and saltiness that you associate with a good french fry.Tandoori chicken naan-wich (obviously Indian sub-continent fusion) - Like a shawarma, but wrapped in naan bread instead of pita, this was really good. The tandoori chicken was moist and the sandwich was held together by a great tamarind chutney and the sandwich had the crunch from the coleslaw.Beef mishkaki - They take you to Eastern Africa with this one, with Tanzanian juicy (and not at all dry) beef skewers that have a perfect char and smokiness on the exterior. All in all, I'll definitely be looking forward to trying out more dishes from this establishment.

If you are looking for fast food this is not the place. The food is fresh made so expect to wait for a fresh hot meal. This is my second time at this place, the first time I got the chicken tikka. It was delicious. This second round I got the ultimate short ribs with naan and slaw. The naan was so fresh and hot I had to give it a minute to cool. The short ribs are well seasoned and tasty. Both times the service was prompt and food was delicious. If you are in a hurry, call ahead and give them at least 15 - 20 minutes to prepare your food.

I finally stopped in to Samosa Hut & Grill while in the area. I had been passing it for a while now curious about their samosas. The gentleman I chatted with while there, who seemed to be a manager or owner, was rather nice. I ordered a few samosas including jalapeno cheese, lentil, spicy potato. I can't recall if I did the chicken but there are plenty of flavors to choose from. I think I enjoyed all of those. There are also onions in the jalapeno cheese so that was a downfall for me but may not be for you! The thing about Samosa Hut samosas is that they are more light and crispy. They are made fresh too! The shell / crust is thin and super crispy. I find that a lot of other samosa shops make theirs a bit more dense and larger. These were also smaller which makes sense given the crust being used. I think it's really up to your preference which works better but if you're into the more thin wonton shell then this place is for you. Not sure it's my top preference for samosas (I probably like having the more traditional size & texture) but it is a nice change up! and I like that they have a variety of flavors to choose from. It was a unique experience but hey as long as the taste is good right?!By the way, if you like poutine they sell that too!I believe the stuffed Indian pastries are 3 for $3, while you can get a whole dozen for $12.99. There's a limit you must spend, but can't recall what it was.Next visit I'd like to try one of the curries or main entrees. Samosa Hut & Grill is right across from MacArthur High School and the street where that little business park is. It is next door to Subway and Red Pepper Asian Cuisine.

This spot is good. I stumbled across it one day driving home from work. It's very reasonable in price. I had the chicken tikka masala (it comes with rice and naan) and a side of the potato samosas (spicy but for me it's just right)... The restaurant is huge to very nice home feel to it. I love the decorations all around. They Even have the diff end currency from around the world
