Sammy’s On The Lake

What a great find on a beautiful day! The weather was perfect for sitting on the patio! The burger was piping hot and delicious! Topped with tomato, pickles and lettuce. The onion rings were crisp and delicious. Service was good. The tables could have been cleaner. Prices for food were great. Burger and onion rings was $10! Tall beer on draft $6.50 and Yea was $2.50. Live music was nice addition. He was great at guitar but his singing was terrible -hard to listen too actually but if you are drinking by the lake -who cares!

Well, after my 3rd visit on Sunday, Jan 12, 2025, I'll never go back. We sat at the bar and had to BEG for a second drink. The bartender was more focused on her phone, restaurant gossip, and outdoor/smoke breaks than anything else. The food: appetizer. The nachos were fine. The food 1: husband got the fish basket. The fish was so hard, it was inedible. Instead of coleslaw, he was given lettuce, tomato, and onion. Hush puppies were also as hard as a rock. The food 2: my burger. It was also way overcooked and inedible. I think my burger dressing was on my husband's plate. I got the onion rings...hard as a rock...also inedible. Bartender noticed nothing (including our empty waters and alcoholic beverages). She was too busy with anything but to notice our uneaten food when we asked for our tab. I can usually drink 3-4 during football. I was lucky to get my 2. This place needs some managerial overhauling if it's going to stay afloat (pun intended). The view and patio are quite remarkable. Just be sure to bring your own food and beverages if you plan on being a patron.

Nice little location down by marina with exceptional and friendly employees. The device was incredible and refreshing. Great stop a bit off the highway but worth the stop to relax. They just put in an outdoor patio that is calling you all. Oh and their beans, WOW, you have to get an order of these. 10 stars on the beans.

Beautiful view! The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive. We had the carnitas tacos, regular burger, buffalo chicken sandwich and chips & queso. All of which were great, everyone was pleased and would order again. We had margaritas on the rocks with patron silver, the bartender did a great job making the drinks, he even added OJ to the margs without my requesting, which is my fav! We will absolutely be back! We love this place!

Hook line and sinker. Best fish taco in Texas. Crispy, creamy green salsa, a fresh lime ‍ three tacos to a plate left me so full and satisfied. I have high fish taco standards and these fish tacos slapped Burger in the background was also

Fun atmosphere. Cold beer. Good food. Great service. Just moved here and will definitely go back.

10/10 recommend not only for the food but for the environment. I've been here two times within the span of a week. The owners go above and beyond with hospitality and really make you feel like family there. The staff was also very timely and kind. It's cool seeing all the regulars hang out like old friends. The food is solid and especially loved their fries with amazing crisp and potato amount that hit the spot after a day on the lake. The view of the lake is great and convenient location wise being next to the dock. We got the mushroom burger, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, chicken wings, chips and queso, tacos, and quesadilla. I couldn't get pictures of it all because some people got too excited and ate it haha. Will be back:)

We love Sammy's and come here often. The food is consistently good and the beer is cold. We love the servers and the turtle watching in the lake. There is another review about not getting a burger in the morning. We were sitting right behind them and they made them a burger. The man posted the review while the woman went inside to ask. He didn't change the review but they did accommodate them.

Can't understand why you can't put a hamburger patty on the grill at 1130am.....do eggs and hamburgers have a bad reaction if they are on the grill at the same time.

Always consistent, friendly staff, awesome views. Great place to hang out.and watch a game.
