I am writing this review based solely on the usage on the facilities courtesy of Saginaw Public Library summer programs. THANK YOU for extending the use of the gym to the community as it is SO hot outside, I'm grateful for a spacious and air conditioned space to enjoy our Summer Reading events. From what I have seen this is a clean building and the front desk attendants have all been friendly every time we have visited.Great place!

As a resident of Saginaw, the annual fee to use the exercise equipment is $40. Can't beat that! It's definitely not anything fancy á la a 24 Hour or Gold's but it's $40. A. Year. They have Jazzercise classes here for an additional fee- I take those too & love them! There is a weight room with lots of free weights and maybe 12 machines. The cardio room has about 20 machines- mix of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes & recumbent bikes. The bathrooms are big and include area for changing and I THINK showering. I've never gone on that side of the bathrooms to check since I live really close & just go home to shower. They also have a racquetball court with the equipment to use for free. You can reserve the court for a small fee. There is also a full size indoor basketball court. They have a variety of classes- for additional fees- for things like karate, music, dance, etc. Swimming lessons in the summer for $49 for residents. Tons of informational materials at front desk, as well as staff to assist. Additional pluses for me are: filtered water machines that is setup to easily refill your own water bottle, disinfectant wipes in both weight & cardio rooms, TVs in cardio room & industrial strength fans in both rooms. Really can't beat it for $40/year. (Cheaper options for family plan)Non residents can use the facilities and amenities too, but for a higher fee. This applies also to the water park. $5 per person for residents. Summer passes if you will use a lot. Can bring in your own food & drinks or use the snack bar which isn't very pricey. The life guards have always been very observant in my experience & often watch better than some parents.

I have been coming here for years and I really like this place. They offer several classes to the community -- everything from jazzercise & zumba to karate to swimming lessons. They have a pretty decent little gym inside and a full size basketball court as well. The people who work in the lobby are friendly and helpful and there are numerous flyers about events and classes that they have coming up. They are fairly priced and they have child care available during certain hours, so you can go exercise and you know your kids are being cared for. My kids have attended the summer camp that they offer from June through August and they really enjoyed it. It's $100 per week per child and they offer all kinds of planned activities for the kids and swimming several times a week, too. The hours are from 7am-6pm.We have been members of the pool for years as well and I have been very pleased with the way things are run there and the cleanliness of the facilities. They have a huge area for little ones. The water is shallow and you can sit and watch as they explore or enjoy it with them. They have a whole "playground" area with the big overhead buckets that fill up and dump down every couple minutes. For the bigger kids/ adults, they have two big tube slides and lots of swimming lanes. They have a snack bar and an ice cream vending machine. You have to get here early on the weekends though if you want a chair -- it gets pretty busy. Anyone can use the pool, but Saginaw residents get a discount. You can buy a membership for just the pool, or just the rec center, or both. Or, you can pay per day that you use it. I recommend it :)

Pretty darn good for a community public pool. The kids area is great with several areas of play. The bigger kid are is deeper and the kids have a great time jumping off the side. The life guards are very observant and watch the swimmers better than some of the parents! They have a 10 minute time out every hour which is a great reminder to potty and put on more sunscreen. They allow food, drinks and coolers. And cheap!!

We only use the Rec center in the summer for the public pool and each summer we are disappointed by the staff. The lifeguards look board and are unfriendly. They also have a rule where they make all kids get out of the pool for adult swim time for ten minutes. My toddler doesn't understand that because she just watches the lifeguards play in the pool for ten minutes while kids sit on the side crying. Keller pointe is much better so I will pay the extra money to go and have friendly services.

Giving two stars because the pool and water area are nice and clean. However, lots of negatives at this place!First, we got there an hour before closing. I just moved to Saginaw and couldn't show proof of residency (I can understand rules around that, so I'm not upset, just annoyed they charged me full price an hour before closing) but I had to pay $30 for myself and two kids after explaining I wouldn't be utilizing the pool or water, I was just there to supervise my kids.. and again, there was only an hour left before closing! Then they had the nerve to shut EVERYTHING down and make everybody get out the water 15 MINS PRIOR to closing!! This makes absolutely no sense! They need to change their hours to 4:45 if they're going to close earlier than advertised. When I asked one of the ticketing guys why they close early, he stated that "he wasn't sure, but thinks it's because the lifeguards need to clean up."They will not be getting my money again! I definitely prefer Dove Waterpark in Grapevine over this place! It's a drive, but only $8 for non residents and they're open until 9 on weekdays!

Do not try to buy ice cream from this location. We tried the Hershey's Ice Cream vending machine and lost our money. The employees said that the machine was not theirs so they refused to reimburse us. There was not sign on the machine and they clearly knew that we would not receive the ice cream, but let us waste our money anyway.

Adults do not get to swim the entire time of being there, the only way that'll happen. is if you have your children with you because they have to be accompanied by an adult!!!! It was a waste of time. The only great outcome is that I received my refund.
