Premier Chinese restaurant in Dallas.Location in Preston Royal shopping center.Originally was Safari Steak House .In 1974 Royal China opened in the same spot. From the beginning it became a favorite for Chinese cuisine lovers.Current owner George continues in his father's footsteps. His son is also at the restaurant and was our host today.Menu is full of mouthwatering choices.General Kao shrimp was prepared perfectly.Rice , spring roll, and won ton soup came with the lunch.Appetizers included fried won ton with accompanying sauces.Excellent bar and wine options.Atmosphere and dining rooms were decorated and inviting. You will enjoy the fortune cookie at the end of your meal.Schedule your visit soon and reservations are a must .

We went on a weeknight and there was no wait for a table! Our group got Xiao Long Baos and pork dumplings to start. Everything is shareable/family style here. I was impressed by the quality of the dumplings and how quick the service was. They have hand pulled noodles and you can watch them pull the noodles and make the dumplings. I'll definitely be back to try more dumplings!

This restaurant is so good. You can tell by the wait that it's very good. Even as we were waiting there, a party was leaving and I overheard their conversation, he said, "this place is good Chinese, hard to find in Dallas." He's very right. Our wait was estimated at 30 min, which was on point. It gave us enough time to go Christmas shopping and you can track where you are in line with your phone number. The dumplings are so good! And the noodles that they have are definitely made in house, very tasty and flavorful. And the General Kaos Chicken was so good. I can't wait to come back and try some other dishes. The menu is extensive but very well thought out. Excellent experience overall.

Let's start off with it's a ' Yes for me and I definitely would be returning for some more amazing food.Pictured is the orange chicken and shrimp fried rice both 10 pit of 10 . Nice portion size for the amount you pay. Service was quick & friendly. Dined in our waiter was so nice and fun. Establishment was clean, and really pleasing to the eye aesthetically.Business place no wait for us, however when we were leaving its was packed wall to wall. We had the pork egg rolls also so good! Check them out if you are looking for some excellent Chinese food.... So authentic!

I've been to Royal China a few times and overall, I highly recommend especially based on the limited options for really good Chinese in the area. Pros: The food is always good and done well. There's a great lunch menu Mon.-Fri. that includes soup and an egg roll with your entree. You can get wonton soup with the lunch menu, which has been rare in my experiences. You can also request a veggie egg roll, if you prefer. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. My fave dishes are the crystal shrimp, salt & pepper shrimp, orange chicken, all the veggie and mushroom dishes, and the dumplings. They have great dumplings. Also, try the table sauces! They're made in-house and done very well.Cons: We usually have fantastic and thoughtful servers, however, a few times we've had servers that weren't as high caliber as others and it made a huge difference with our experience. They can get pretty busy during peak times and don't do reservations. Be prepared to wait whether you're ordering take-out or plan to dine-in.

My favorite spot to stop when I'm in Dallas! This family owned shop is delicious with any kind of Chinese food you may want! We of course ate family style to eat as many different things as possible. Our overall favorite was the walnut shrimp! The service was kind and quick even in a busy restaurant. Can't wait to go again.

Great ambiance, good service. However, the food was good, but was geared towards Americanized Chinese dishes! Between the 2 of us, we ordered 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. 1) appetizer- xiao long bao (delicious! A must order)2) garlic and pork green beans 3) dry stir fry beef This restaurant is clearly beloved by many locals, and repeat customers!

The soup dumplings were absolutely delicious! I would recommend an order or two of those instead of the regular dumplings. We had an order of the soup dumplings and the pork/chicken steamed dumplings. Our server was absolutely amazing and gave some great recommendations! We had the dry stirred beef, orange chicken, and the stir fried la mian! All of these were delicious!! My family also loved the chili oil that accompanied the food! Definitely some of the best chinese food i've had in Dallas!

This is my 3rd time here & the only thing that was lackluster was the chocolate dumplings, I'm not a fan of raisins & the chocolate wasn't all the way melted. Everything else was phenomenal!!! My 1st time with the spicy wontons & I was drinking the sauce that it's with, crab & cheese wontons are always a hit and the Happy Family dish came with a brown sauce which I was skeptical of (a lot of restaurants make it too sweet or bland) but was absolutely delicious. This place isn't close to me but it's worth a drive for.

egg drop soup (5/5) - the most flavorful dish out of everything we ordered! would recommend getting salt and pepper chicken (4/5) - tasted like popcorn chicken, good flavor and crispiness salt and pepper tofu (5/5) - crispy and flavored welldry stirred beef (4/5) - crispy and more sweet than spicythin dan dan mian (3/5) - it was my first time having this type of cold noodles, i wish there was more flavor to itspicy wonton (2/5) - the dish came out cold and the wontons were sweet, wasn't spicy at allthe food was decent, but i found the ambiance lacking for me and my friends which affected the overall experience
