You can have a picnic here if you'd like.
Mini golf for those who like that sort of thing.

Obviously, having my husband walk around with our family should have been such a big issue because of the crowd.

I have been coming here to race go-karts since the late 1970s, once I was old enough to drive one. Back during the 70s/80s, this was the best track around to go with a group of your friends and race like maniacs! Bashing into each other? Standard procedure. Plowing friends into the barriers? A rite of passage. Spinning the slowpokes like they were caught in a tornado? Oh, you bet. Chaos? Yes, oh yes - it was glorious chaos, plus this kind of mayhem wasn't just tolerated, it was practically the norm back then. Yes sir, those were indeed the good old days! Presently, they have some sort of remote device they can (and do) use to throttle the kart down to a standstill if anyone gets crazy. No more playing demolition derby, no more t-boning or ramming each other, and in a nutshell, no more shenanigans on this track. No sir indeed, those good old days are gone!Be that as it may, it's still only $8.00 a race with no helmets required! Therefore, this track still stands as THE BEST Go-Kart Track of ALL-TIME in my opinion. ALL-TIME!

Went back to Rockwood Go Karts a week later and they raised the prices. Talk about inflation so fast will make your head spin.

We had a lot of fun here this evening for Dad's weekend at TCU. First we drove the go carts. Super fun! And they are FAST!!! All the spotters were very helpful and kept the track glowing. Go carts were in good condition.Mini golf was fun too. Between the two of us, we made three holes on ones. The course, of course, has a western theme and is well maintained. Here's a recommendation for your future scorecards. The current cards are too large to fit in a standard sized pocket. You might want think about scaling them down to make it easier for everyone to keep score. Thanks for a fun time!

Had such a fun time here!! Brought my 10 year old for go karts but we also enjoyed the mini golf and the course layout. The track is smaller but super fun to drift off the triangle corners. They let us ride for about 7 minutes it felt like, and they are fast! Paid $7 each race for a double go kart and $14 for mini golf all together. Definitely recommend over putt putt or alley cats. Staff was all very nice and two even raced us since there was no other people to line up with. We will be back!

If you crave a good old fashioned lawless go kart race this is the place. It is a little pricey at $8 a race but just go for it. You will be a little sore the next day and it's worth it.

OMG yes, 5 Stars!!!! This is essentially the same Go Kart operation that was common in my youth. Im sure the cars are better but, they seem exactly the same. I discovered this track about 30 years ago and have only been back once. I have intended to come during one of my Ft worth visits but, never got around to it.I had my two oldest grandkids with me today, a busy Ft Worth agenda and It included this!!! They loved it and I loved it! Its old school Go-Karting at its best. Fun,Fun,Fun!!! Bonus? $7 dollars a ride,Yes!Now, be aware that it's a rough ride. Even the youngsters are surprised by how intense it is. Not sure how many laps they gave us but, in the 103 degree Texas heat it was plenty. The kids didn't even want to do another turn!If you live in the area or are visiting just...Go then, Go again!!!!

Sup Yelpers. How you doing this summer? Hot? Um, I know, it's Texas. Had the nieces and nephews from Kansas, to Arkansas, to Mississippi for a couple weeks of spoiling them rotttttteeeeennnnn, then sending them home to their parents wishing they lived with me. Please, I am not all fun and games, just that I am their great uncle, not parents. Parents needed a break, I needed to give them one. So we had a lot of events scheduled. Go carting is the one none of them have local to where they live. Que up Rockwood Go-Carts. Why Rockwood? Because they have the best track, and the best prices. The carts are gas, the tires have good grip for the straights, but the carts have enough power and brakes that you can get them sideways on the turns. If you like carting for real, this is a must. You have to have a cart with enough speed to get loose in the turn. Staff is friendly and professional, so do not test them, they will correct you. This is supposed to be fun, but safe for all on the track. They let you toss the cart around according to your skill level, but no wilding out bumping other drivers. The track is smooth, but has a couple good bumps and dips, just enough to keep it interesting. I got the special listed on the website. paid $120 for 20 4 minute rides since I had 4 nieces and a nephew with me. One was a rider with me, the other 4 able to drive themselves. Their is a height requirement, so check that out first. It is there for a reason. These are fast carts, not Putt Putt, real carts, pretty good speed. I was romping on them. Not to be a snitch, but I am pretty sure we may have been given an extra lap or two. They were not very busy on the track, mostly folks there for mini golf. They have a good mini golf range as well. I wasn't there for golf, I was there to kick some butt on the race track. If you are someone that has a need for speed, don't do it on the roads of N. Texas. Bring it here to the track. Bring all that excess adrenaline to Rockwood. I own two sports cars. Each has 330 hp. One in red, the other a drop top. I am used to turning off the traction control, and stability control, to get a bit sideways now and then. I used to ride Sport Bikes, 2 Yamaha R1's, 2 R6's, and a Gixxer 6, I am a speed freak and adrenaline junkie but can't express it safely other than track days, or when TMS lets us on the track. Believe me, this is the place I should have always known about, could have saved tens of thousands wrecking bikes stunting wheelies and endos on the open highways, risking my life. No not your safety. We had meet up spots off from the public, or on the hwys at 2 am when traffic is a car per half mile or greater. Only one getting hurt is the rider. Not one of those guys splitting lanes at 150mph in broad daylight. I was 185 mph when most are snugly in bed. Well I know it is here now, and this is where I will get my fix. Rockwoods track isn't super big, but it is big enough to get speed in straights you can get loose and drift into the corners if you are skilled, brave, crazy, or a combo of all 3. Yes, you can spin out if you push too hard. But if you know how to cart, you will honestly have fun with this track, these carts. They offer a night run with drift tires I plan on checking out next with my grown sons. Drift tires? What? OMG that is going to be epic. Tires on my car are $640 a set for the rears, $600 front set. Staggered so I burn through a rear set a year each car. Now that I know about Rockwood, will save me some dough on tires. Just come here, buy some laps, get it out of my system. So if you want a safe place to let your inner speed demon loose, Rockwood. No $245 speeding ticket plus $60 court cost and $25 video defensive driving course. Believe me, that adds up over time to keep a ticket off your record. That one $330 ticket could have been 55 laps around the track at the group rate. 55 laps, as opposed to embarrassing myself, wasting an officers time to deal with my poor choice to speed for a burst of maybe 20 seconds at 85 in a 60 ( won't say the alleged speed, had just gotten the car out of the shop, let the top down, was feeling myself, not the motorcycle cop that caught me. Even he had to admit he may have done the same, but I digress). Here on, for me, my need for speed is driven at Rockwood Go-Carts. Hope to see some of my fellow demons here. You see me there, come up to me, I will buy you a lap. You beat me, I will buy you the next one as well. No mercy though.

Came for the go karts; absolutely LOVED the miniature golf. Fun course with hills, "sand pits", water features....very clean and well kept. It was my 8 yr old daughters first golf experience and she had so much fun. The weather was perfect as the sun set...I did notice umbrellas along the course for when shade is needed which is nice and there's benches. Definitely will go back.

4.5 Came here on a Tuesday with my kiddo to do some active fun. It was our first time and it was a quick fun experience. The workers pointed us in the correct location once we walked up. It was only $6.00 per person per ride today and we went twice. I saw a few people get turned around on the track and they were quick to fix it. My go-kart was fast, but felt like it was starting to slow down during the ride. It was son's first time driving by himself and he did a great job.
