Beautiful building and party venue!
Seagulls hovering near the water - also ducks and squirrels who would like some leftover bread or other food as a treat!

We just had the pleasure of attending a baby shower at the new Richard Simpson Center that's replaced the tiny one-room building on the shore of Lake Arlington. The party was held on the side facing the lake, with a room to comfortably fit about 75 people with the tables and chairs for those guests. The room opens up to an elevated, covered patio that could hold about 50 more people. The center is well-lit, air-conditioned, overseen by park employees, and most importantly, has clean restrooms! The shower hostess, luckily, had enough forethought to rent out a bounce house to alleviate the number of restless kiddos inside. They set it up in a patch of grass that seemed like it was made specifically to hold a bounce house. Beyond that is a covered pavilion before reaching the boat ramps. For more info on booking the Simpson Center and other info, visit their page on the City of Arlington website: https://naturallyfun.org/richard-simpson-park

My pup loves it here. We moved from fl to here and she has been missing her lake fun. Well she def has it here. Park is nice and spacious. Plenty of area to fish, sit outdoors, and let your pups play in the water. Has indoor clean bathrooms and a covered pavilion too.

Beautiful park on Lake Arlington! If you have a boat, you can put it easily in on the boat ramps and there is parking nearby for that, and then if you are just coming to the park, lots of parking to enjoy the rest of the facility. Nice area with tables under a canopy and a new and clean main facility. Lots of green space and being able to see the water is awesome too! It was a nice peaceful getaway in the midst of all of the chaos of the cities and looked like people were there enjoying fishing, skipping rocks, or running around the fields. We will definitely be back and hopefully soon!

Nice park. There's a play area for kids nearby, but this park is mostly for the big kids. Specifically the big kids who enjoy watching the sunset with the lake as a backdrop. The big kids like sitting at their trucks or bringing their own boat. The actual kids stay to feed the ducks and geese. I'm personally one of the kids who likes geese over ducks. There's an alpha goose who looks like a strange crossbred goose with spots of brown on its otherwise white feathers, yet has blue eyes. Cool. Parking is scarce. Hence why people just park in front of the waterfront to watch the sunset. Come before twilight to avoid the greatest amount of trucks parked.

Drove their hoping to walk my dog but there was no trail to do so. Drive to another part with put me in Ft. Worth and that part of the park was trashy also without a trail to walk my dog. I won't be back
