Some of the worst Jerky I have had along with their Summer Sausage. The Jerky was very tough and the Summer Sausage had a cheap bologna taste to it. When we first walked in the place had a spoiled smell inside which was a clue that I ignored. The Sausage Sticks were really good though. I threw the Summer Sausage out.The steaks looked great in the meat case.

The staff is wonderful and doing a wonderful job during this crazy time of people trying to hoard food because of the Coronavirus. I will continue going even after this disaster is over. They had some people being extremely rude because of they have to limit people from buying everything..... they handled everyone with a smile. I've been shopping here for years. I always call ahead to place my order so it's ready when I arrive. I especially love their lean ground round beef. It's fresh, and not filled with the "red dye" that store bought has. Has great flavor and very little grease, if any. They have a pretty nice selection of frozen vegetables, sausage links, bacon, and chicken as well.

3rd and final beef they will process of mine. Extremely low yields, Long-horn 30% of live weight, the last one was a really nice black Angus and that yield was only 20% of live weight, less than 50% of the hanging weight. If THAT YIELD IS acceptable to you, then go ahead brother. As for me, I will go elsewhere. I called them and gave Ms. Ortega an opportunity to make it right, all sort of excuses, 3 year old was too old for a good yield, puny cow, they lost all of their butchers, new ones are training. Excuses are good maybe one time, but 3 times in a row. Yea, I am the sucker here!As I understand, (research yourself) 30-42 month old is the prime age for butcher.

Dropped off a Stag for processing on 12-17-22. It took a week to get a cut instructions call. Received a call on 1-12-13 that it was ready for pickup. I picked it up on 1-13-23. my friend picked up his processed meat on 1-14-23. that's when the manager Jen showed him a picture of my animal that showed it has turned green. she told him our Stags ended up buried under other animals dropped off. That they cut the bad meat off and proceeded it. Jen said it has a smell but ok to eat. I should have received a call as soon as they picture was taken. it should have never been processed. I paid $166 to process rotting meat. I called and asked to have Jen call me and she never did. the owner Mark Pagel also is aware of the situation and has not reached out to me.

I've found this place not long ago . My boss was telling me he knows a great meat market . So few days later went up their got two New York strip steaks . Great cut of meet for the price . Also got a brisket for a great price . I will definitely be coming back .
