Mapo Tofu Omurice

Tucked away inside the 99 ranch food court, this very aptly named taiwanese eatery has some surprising twists on traditional Taiwanese fare. The Mapo Tofu Omurice is an incredibly fitting twist on japanese omurice, replacing the curry with a mild but still very numbing mapo tofu and a very skillfully cooked omelet that is delicate and soft in just the right way.Ive never had anything like it and is a must try for foodies. The braised beef noodle also had a twist on it with fermented cabbage, changing the flavor quite a bit from what I am used too. The beef was much softer than your average "red braised" beef noodle soup which really shows the skill of the chefs in this unassuming food court location. If you are not a fan of fermented cabbage though, I would recommend another dish.Service was friendly and fast and the food court overall was clean. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be coming back to try their other dishes!

This spot is located in the Ranch 99 food court, so it's more of a casual, self-service experience, but they do provide free water, which is a nice touch. The space itself feels newly remodeled, clean, and inviting. They specialize in authentic Taiwanese cuisine and offer an extensive menu with plenty of options to choose from. I tried the beef noodle soup, which had a light, herbal broth--perfect if you prefer something subtle yet flavorful. Their spicy wontons were a highlight--tender, flavorful, and with just the right amount of heat. I also really enjoyed the pork chop rice--the pork was well-marinated, crispy, and cooked to perfection.Overall, the food tasted great, the portions were generous, and it's a solid choice for anyone craving Taiwanese comfort food. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Portions were massive and service from the owners even more massive! They were so friendly and helpful if its your first time! Pork Chop fried rice is a delish option. You cant go wrong with the fried rice. I do think the oil in the pork chop had an aftertaste. Mapo Tofu omurice was awesome! it had the mala type heat to it that was excellent! With an extensive menu, asking the cashier for some recommendations is worth it, and I would totally go back and try some other dishes!

We're shopping at Ranch 99 and got hungry, so we decided to check this place out! I was totally surprise! We order the Pork Chop curry fried rice, the portion was huge, we shared and still had leftovers! I did the order on the kiosk, it was painless and quick! The pork chops were deep fried and very moist and tender, the curry fried rice had lots of flavor! I think this is my first time eating curry fried rice!

After a friend told me that the popcorn chicken was very authentic, I decided to give it a try. When I ordered for the first time, I chose popcorn chicken and fried radish, and they were both very good. Today is my third time ordering popcorn chicken, and I've never been disappointed. So i decided to write a review and shares with everyone! I hope they'll consider opening a location in Plano, which would make it easier to enjoy authentic Taiwanese food.

Very sweet owners and real homemade style food. Located inside of 99 ranch in Frisco, this mom and pop style stall has food that really tastes home-y. I really hope they thrive because it's rare to go out to eat to have homestyle food. I tried the mapo tofu omurice which is a popular dish for theirs and it was so tasty. Very numb-y for those of you who are not used to the Szechuan spice but they will let you know ahead of time and see if it's okay for you. Will definitely come back and try more!

This place is such a gem! My partner and I order the Mapo Tofu Omurice as well as the Teppanyaki Pepper Beef Noodles after the owner so kindly went over the menu for us in detail. He really helped us make a decision on what to get! The Mapo Tofu itself wasn't amazing, but it was so yummy with the egg and rice. I would get this plate every now and then just for the egg.I LOVED the Teppanyaki Pepper Beef Noodles. It felt like comfort food! The flavors were bursting, and I liked the texture of the noodles. If there were just a little more al dente, they would be perfect. Can't wait to come here again!

Whether you're craving a taste of home or wanting to try something new, Real Taiwanese Cuisine is a tasty and pleasant experience. The staff are always very sweet and helpful (possibly the owners kids) and there is plenty of seating in the food court in 99 Ranch. The atmosphere is casual and assuming. I absolutely love their teppanyaki pepper beef noodles, my go-to order - it's full of flavor, generous with meat portion, and very unique. They sell plenty of other Taiwanese classics that are worth trying such as braised mince pork rice bowl, salty crispy pop nuggets, braised beef noodles, pork chop fried rice, and so much more! Warning to families - there are no high chairs so just be prepared!

I heard that there was a new Taiwanese place in the ranch99 market in Frisco and it did not dissapoint! It seems like they're still on a soft opening but their service and food were both amazing.I would like to commend the workers at the register. They seemed like the owner's kids but they were really thorough in explaining the menu and making sure customers felt welcome.Their food was great! Prices are fair and the star of the show was the braised minced pork rice bowl which was only $7! It tasted very traditional and home made (my Taiwanese parents were impressed). The braised beef noodle soup was also really good (the broth was more on the clean side so it was less flavorful). The Teppanyaki was also no slouch! There was good texture on the noodles and the dish was well seasoned. **They don't make their food spicy so that you can use hot sauce to make it to your spice preference!!I will definitely be coming back to try more menu items and I encourage everyone to come support this new local business!

Best Curry Chicken rice! Portion of all dishes are so big. We ordered 2 dishes and 1 appetizer for 4 people and still left with to go box. Very recommended.
