R & K Cafe II

We had an early appointment in Weatherford today, and afterwards went for breakfast. R&K was close to our location, we hadn't been before, and the reviews looked good.For a weekday, they seemed busy. Now we know why. Food and service were very good.Thúy's Breakfast Special #2, French toast, 2 eggs & 2 pieces of bacon, was very tasty. My "Big Ol' Breakfast burrito" (see pictures) was freakin' amazing. I don't know what they do this this thing, and I kid you not, it was the best breakfast burrito I have ever eaten!So R&K seems to have a very regular crowd. Many customers were greeted by name, others ordered without looking at the menu.Speaking of menu, the Specials board featured many tasty items, but what really got my interest was the Chicken Livers. Yum.We hope to make it back soon.

Stopped by this cafe on a whim, there was about a 7 min wait to be seated so not bad. Our waitress was friendly but also overwhelmed and tired. We started with an order of fried pickles as our app but it was entirely too salty. The rest of the food was great! The chicken was crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked and moist on the inside. The servings are large enough for lunch and dinner! I would recommend coming after the brunch rush though

We had lunch here yesterday and food isOk but not to write home about . Waitress nice but got snappy over chips and basically called my grandson a liar . Dessert was a brownie and mine was so hard you couldn't hardly break it . Then as we were leaving I saw on table by door a tray with chocolate pudding on it and half uncovered . I just hope they didn't feed it to anyone as it looked like someone stuck their finger in it . Oh and it's cash or check only but they do have a atm at front door.

Casual southern/country food with friendly wait staff. The wait staff doesn't turn over much so you can tell they are dedicated to their jobs. It's a very Texan/western kind of place that I would describe as "down home". It gets busy, but they work fast to get you a table. They have a daily menu that you can check on Facebook before you go, or it's written on chalk boards on the wall. Otherwise they have a full menu you can order from any time, including breakfast. They do take credit/debit, unlike the other location in Hudson Oaks, but they add a service fee to your check if you use one. It's not a big deal. I recommend their pancakes, fried catfish, burgers and fries (if you like well done burgers) and their Sunday chicken and dressing special. They are also good at getting eggs cooked to order just right. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that sometimes the biscuits or rolls can get a little hard, and the tables sometimes aren't even and wobble. But this doesn't stop me from coming in regularly.

Home cooking at its original finest. All the usual dishes and the eggs cooked to perfection. Great hot cakes, crispy bacon, tasty sausage and hot coffee. The Sevice is friendly and very attentive.The ambience is has western flair.

The food was so original love it very delicious. Our service was very polite and quick took care of the customer. Ambiance very open self seating and open and clean .

Went here for early morning breakfast.Great breakfast! Hot coffee! Incredible service! Give it a try!

Stopped and took a shot in the dark as I have never been through this way when travelling. Visited R&K Cafe and was pleasantly shocked with the service and the food. Ordering was easy and the waitress was very nice. Food came out quickly and was fantastic! Biscuit with gravy, fried eggs and hashbrown and it was all on point! I will remember this place next time I come through Weatherford.

I ate lunch there recently. The cashier was extremely rude! She asked me why my ticket was only 4.75 and I told her that is what the waitress charged me for two sides that I ordered. In a very loud voice she yelled , the tickets wrong! you are coming out smelling like a rose! The restaurant was crowded and people started staring. I told her I would pay whatever I needed to pay. she did not change the ticket. I paid with a card and put the tip on the card. I asked if I could take the tip and pay the waitress. once again in a very loud voice, she yelled ,"as God is my witness, I am not stealing the waitress's tip! you cannot take it to her. I will give it to her ". people were staring at both of us. I left and will not eat at this location again. this one is located on Fort Worth highway. I will eat at their other location.

Love the breakfast and they have the best pancakes in my opinion. The chicken and dressing on Sunday is the bomb.com. Good burgers and enchiladas. They have a phenomenal wait staff. Even though I can't stand the condescending lady with long hair at the register, I find myself eating at this establishment every weekend.
