Great little neighborhood wine shop with a quality selection of wine (all prices), spirits and gifts. Insider tip - buy a case, pay with a check or debit card and get 25 % off! I think the case with credit card is still 20 % off but I always come prepared. I love not having to deal with a big box store and supporting local. Chris is the owner and very nice. I wouldn't say he's the most talkative so you're not going to get a long drawn out description of a wine but don't let that fool you...the dude knows his wine! He travels all over the world learning and tasting wine. With the case discount I'm convinced his prices are the best in town! And DO NOT ASK if they carry Blantons - they don't! And I think he gets sick of the question. Definitely support this shop!! You won't be sorry.

We were finishing up a work trip having come from California and looking for some wine to pair with takeout pizza. Kate and Put a Cork In It did not disappoint! We walked in and immediately recognized some of our favorites. After talking to Kate about what we normally drink, we asked her for a few recommendations. Three bottles later, and a fun turtle aerator, we made our purchase, picked up our pizza and headed to the AirBnB. The JuanGil Red blend was excellent! Looking forward to trying the others and stopping in again when in the Fort Worth area.

After having the wonderful Chocolate Box Sparkling Shiraz at the Veritas OYE (http://www.yelp.com/biz/taste-of-summer-yelp-elite-event-veritas-wine-room-dallas#hrid:thnBgyWmgCZu9FJWK_xJ_g), I just had to have some more. So I checked with the guys at Rocland Estates and they pointed me to Chris at Put a Cork In It Wine Shop.Well I stopped in a while back, and while Chris did not have the Chocolate Box Sparkling Shiraz, he did have a "Kilroy Was Here" Sparkling Shiraz , which is also by Rocland Estates.Now maybe it was me, or it could be the wine, but I did not seem to enjoy the "Kilroy Was Here" Sparkling Shiraz as much as the Chocolate Box Sparkling Shiraz. Of course maybe it was the awesome vibe of that OYE that made everything taste better.Regardless, Put a Cork In It is a very nice shop and Chris was very helpful in helping me find my wine (I bought 3 bottles) and he made some other suggestions I'd like to try someday. If Put a Cork In It was closer to home, I'd definitely make it my wine shop of choice (I don't have "a shop of choice" near home either). Oh, and there are also regularly scheduled tastings, so you might want to get on that mailing list!PS. Put a Cork In It Wine Shop is a great place to find quality wine at a good price. The store has a good location (off University close to the zoo). The owner really knows wine and can make great recommendations for you. When we can not locate a place to buy a specific wine he typically has it or can match another bottle up that is very similar to the taste we are looking for. With the over whelming growth and popularity of bourbon you can also find that here too. They offer wine tastings and my "pro" tips is to use cash for a discount.

Chris has the best wines. If not in the shop he will order for you.Always learn something when looking for a new wine. He knows my tastes well and can choose a new one for me. Has several monthly clubs that always deliver new tastes.

Since moving back to the USA over 12 years ago, Chris Keel is my first choice for buying wine. He knows his stuff regarding wine. He only sells wines that he tastes first and approves of. He can guide you in selecting a wine that's right for you and/or right for the occasion. As mentioned, if he doesn't have the specific wine that you want on the shelf, he will find it for you if at all available in Texas. Highly, highly recommended.

i am only giving 4 stars because I have never set foot in this establishment. I was on the hunt for a wine that I saw in a review on a vlog. i called on a Saturday afternoon and the woman that answered the phone asked if she could put me on hold because there was a customer she was assisting . after a minute on hold, I hung up. she got my number from their caller I'd and promptly called me back. she apologized for the wait and asked how she could help. She wasn't able to find the wine in store. she asked if it was okay to text me. she texted me with a photo. it was not what I was looking for so I shared a photo that I had. she then became excited about the hunt. In 2023, this type of service is unmatched. I hadn't even spent a dime with them. I will be making it a point to go in and patronize this establishment.
