Pioneer Donuts

Can't come to Texas and skip out on kolaches. So I have to hit this place when I'm in town visiting family. This place means business. Great kolaches at great prices. No funny business. Great work fam.

Stopped in from out of town and the donuts were OK. I'm pretty picky when it comes to donuts. The service was good was a typical donut shop.

This place is close to work but that's not why I've been a customer for the past 6 years. That's just a bonus, because I'm picky about my donuts and they get 5 stars! I judge a donut shop on their apple fritters and theirs is a solid #2 in my book. Top stars are also their fluffy glazed donuts, chocolatey/crispy old fashioned donuts, blueberry cake donuts, and sausage rolls. BUT, my favorite things to get are the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and the croissant sausage rolls. The croissant is so buttery and flaky. So so good! Hilda is a beast! She works the counter and just keeps going and going and going! During the school year, this place gets packed and she just keeps that line moving like nobody's business. And best of all, she does it fast and with a smile ALWAYS and that's why I keep coming back.

I have been in the area for about 1 year now and this is our go-to spot for donuts, kolaches, and other treats before school. It's conveniently located just outside the Lake Country community and easily accessible. I am a fan of their maple & maple-bacon donuts, the classic glazed and old fashioned are great also, and they have donuts that are decorated (extra special for the little kids). I like the small jalapeño kolaches - they pack the right level of punch. Most importantly, the family that runs the place is super nice and attentive. I leave a small tip when I visit, because they always work quickly and would hate to see them suffer through COVID effects that small businesses have experienced. They occasionally drop in a bag of free donut holes.

My boyfriend and I recently moved into the area and tried this place after reading the reviews. Well it did not disappoint! Their jalapeño kolaches and cinnamon twist donuts are heaven. They also have some of the cutest kids donuts that are always a hit with the little ones. And, the staff is very warm and friendly! Trust me, this is the local donut shop you're looking for.

Don't count on them being open. Closed before noon AGAIN. Car in the parking lot. Lights off. Person inside.

Great selection, donuts nice and fluffy not overly sweet like most places, friendly staff as well. The breakfast sandwiches are really good.

I tried the sour cream doughnut. I took a bite and it was like eating a doughnut that had been soaked in oil. If you pinched the doughnut the oil ran out. As a baker I know the oil it was cooked in was not hot enough therefore the dough absorbed the oil all the way through. I walked back into the shop. The gals at the counter did not speak enough English to understand. The Baker at Pioneer is not allowing the oil to reheat in between batches. Producing very poor quality.

Good donuts the best I had in Arlington to be honest. Very friendly people as well. Can never go wrong with a kolache

Not a fan of their apple fritters. Cinnamon rolls and maple sticks donuts were okay but nothing special.
