Painting with a Twist

I've been wanting to Paint with a Twist since I first heard about it years ago--and it was everything I had hoped it would be: challenging enough to push us but still engaging the creative muscles we don't always get to use. Our instructor, Alissa, was patient and encouraging with all levels of abilities.I only wish we could've honored the 2-hour time frame by starting on time, as the many, lengthy reminders indicated. A lot of grace and repetition needed for latecomers, resulting in us leaving at 9:15 instead of 8:30PM; so prepare your babysitters.BYOB and BYO-Snacks.

I've gone to PWAT in Mansfield twice, years apart, but they were both amazing experiences. Sam and Ashley are such sweet instructors and they are both so helpful throughout their class. Sometimes instructions felt fast, but time was given to catch up. Trust the process. The art may not end up exactly like the reference picture, but it'll still end up wonderful and it's your own. They even have a very attenuated candle making activity that you can do right before the painting class for $20.It's such a fun event to do to destress or just have something to do with friends. I totally recommend it.

GREAT experience with friends, or family. We had a party of 10 people. Byob. They have cups if needed. I also provided myself my own bottle opener cause I wasn't sure... Show up at lease 15mins before start time. They REALLY start exactly on time, so if you have a party and need to get everyone settled it great to just play it easy with the time. Fun and great experience and teaching. I'm not a artist or anything at all, but this was fun & I still enjoyed all the colors and laughs we had making this art piece. We painted the bluebonnets. Always a fun night out with the girls! What's better than wine, some snacks and acrylics? We painted a flowery cow skull.

I signed up for the "Paint Your Pet" class with my mother. We went this past Sunday. It was a smaller crowd, at the front of the building so there was great lighting from the windows. We forgot our wine, so learn from our mistake and bring your own!My only concerns were1. They did address this as a more advanced class and this was my first experience with Painting with a Twist. I'm not sure if this translates to the instructor being more hands-off or if it means some painting skill is required, but I felt quite lost and behind at times. We made the instructor aware of our novice status but I don't think we got any special treatment for it (lol). I think it would be great to explain, even for the usuals, at the beginning what each step will be in the class. I was under the impression that my strokes could be a little messy or the color can be a little off because we would return to it at a later step to rectify everything. I ended up painting harsh shadows on my pup :-(. They do offer Saturday classes for free to go back in and continue working on your art. 2. The TV that zoomed in on the instructor's demonstrations kept turning off (motion detected?).Overall, I left with a portrait of my favorite companion, harsh brush strokes and all!

Had the best time celebrating a girlfriends birthday. Sam was so fun and enthusiastic but also super patient! She explained everything thoroughly and made sure we were all having a good time. Every little while she'd remind us to breathe and have fun! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun time for all ages!

I love painting with a twist!!! This location is great. I have taken two classes now and the teachers are awesome. I painted my dog who crossed the rainbow bridge and I was an emotional wreck the whole time. Abby was so sweet and she helped make my painting perfect. Now we will always have this beautiful painting to remember our very good boy.

Painting with a twist in Mansfield is one of my favorite places to hang out be creative and relax. I have been there multiple times recently, their staff is always excellent and so sweet and helpful. It's kind of becoming one of my homes away from home. I plan on attending many more classes there.

My bf planned it for us for a date night and it was definitely worth it. 10/10 would recommend for date night or even a girls night out

Painting was amazing and Ashley was super fun and high energy. The music was great and the painting was fun and easy. Highly recommend
