I had a great time!I specifically chose the Flower Mound location because compared to the one in Denton and the other one in Lewisville, this spot had the best painting in my opinion. There's different painting everyday, so check it out and see what you like!Arrived a few minutes early (as you should to check in) and every one was so friendly! The receptionist and the artist (Lenny( were as welcoming as can be.My group was small, and coincidentally we were all high school and college aged students. Lenny chatted with us and made pleasant small talk as we painted away.Lenny is a highschool art teacher I believe, so he was very encouraging. Even though I though my painting looked like boo boo, he assured me that it was fine. I'm not an artist or painter by anymeans. I have NEVER done a serious painting in my life. But if I can do it, so can you.For $35, I can't complain. Will be back in a couple weeks to paint another!ALSO, its BYOB. Cups are provided.

This was my very first experience with painting and Painting with a Twist made sure that it was memorable and fun!A group of us ladies grabbed wine bottles and snacks and headed out on our venture. The location is in a strip mall (newer) and was very clean and relatively big. We were greeted at the door by Denise, the owner, and checked in. Each person receives a punch card and you get a free class after the 10th class, which is pretty cool. Our instructor was laid back and very informative. I haven't painted since grade school, so that should tell you my experience! She told me that I have great technique so I wuv her. I'm sorry, I forgot her name!! Blame it on the wine. Painting with a Twist has a monthly calendar and you can attend a session after reserving a spot OR you can get at least 8 participants together and schedule a private party and you get to pick the painting that everyone with be doing together. You start with a blank piece of canvas and the instructor walks you through each step, telling you which brush to use and how to mix colors, make things brighter or darker, etc. She also walks around and gives you pointers or praise. The cost is $35 for a 2 hour class or $45 for a 3 hour class. The whole thing was so casual and comfortable. I was really hesitant to go because I do NOT have an artistic bone in my body, but after just a few minutes I felt right at home. They offer classes for kids, too. You just need to go to their website and check out the calendar.I neglected to take a picture of my painting, so I am going to have to come back and post that pic, but I did take a picture off of their site of the painting that we were doing so that people can see the finished product. Of course, my picture did not look this great, but it was fun and I am proud of it anyway!! Oh and I can't forget Odie..he is the owner's German Shepherd and was a doll! He isn't very good at sneaking food, though. I would try to casually "drop" sausage or cheese and he made it so obvious...ugh! Sorry, Denise, I couldn't help it. He was too cute!!All in all, I highly recommend this to anybody! It was such a nice change of pace and I believe I will make sure to do this at least once a month!

Having had several friends participate in various PWAT (that's Painting With a Twist for some of you ... YOU know who you are!) experiences in Texas. So, while visiting one of my best pals in Flower Mound we decided to check it out!OH MY! What a blast! We ended up going on couples night and, seriously, there are no words to express how much fun the group was! The wine was flowing -- you bring your own -- and the catty remarks were flying! (Yeah, you bring those, too!)Our instructor for the evening (Mel) was terrific and fit in swimmingly! We painted a the TUSCAN STAIR SET and, frankly, did quite while! The instructions are so easy to follow, that is feels just a teensy step above paint-by-numbers. As the prior reviewer stated, Odie (the pup) was simply a doll! He was friendly and enjoyed our game of keep-away.The cost was well worth it, in my experience, and I will absolutely check out the local PWATs here in Austin.Need something unique and different to do with a date or with your pals? Definitely give Painting With a Twist a try!

Great fun, reasonably priced, and we had a great teacher! We had a guy....oh can't remember his name, but he was fun, upbeat, and kept the class moving along, with fun music all the while.Easy to book online. Friendly staff at the front. Clean place, well stocked with all the paints, brushes, etc. Most definitely would go again!

I took my 81 year old parents, who are very hard of hearing, to a night of painting. My dad was reluctant to go. Jennifer and Julia were so incredibly accommodating, repeating the instructions and giving both my parents individual attention. It was such an amazing experience. My parents haven't stopped talking about it. They want to go to one in Michigan once they get back home. Great job ladies.

So much fun! This is the 2nd location I've been to in the metroplex and you can't help but have fun. Love the instructors and the fact that all you need (canvas, brushes, paint) is sitting out waiting for you when you walk in. Guaranteed fun time!

We had our engagement party there last night. 10/18/2014. Honestly I wasn't sure about the whole idea. Our instructor, Lenny, was awesome. He was patient and very easy to follow. My whole family enjoyed the event. Our friends all paint awesome works of art. I left there feeling proud that I was able to create something that we'll have on our wall for years to come. Thanks again to Lenny.

I went with my best friend tonight for the first time. I was always nervous to go to one of these things because I am by no means artistic. However, I had seen many pictures of friends going and figured if they could do it so could I. I still don't find myself to be an artist but I love my piece! Mine was much different from the rest of the classes as I wanted it to match my house perfectly. I loved having that flexibility. Mel was a great instructor and Odoi was fun to have in the studio. Odoi is the canine instructor! :)
