Parking and tickets expensive, the food and beer very expensive with few options of something else to drink beside beer. The vendors in the vendor area were charging outrageous prices for what they were selling. Other than that there is really nothing to do but sit in a tent, drink a beer and sing German drinking songs. I have been to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany many times, so I knew what to expect. My friend who thought going to Oktoberfest would be fun actually said to me, "Is this it?" Yes my friend this is all you get.

We had a lot of fun. It was a genuine Oktoberfest. Always a fun time when we come to Fort Worth.

We did the 20 mile bike ride which got us admission into the Oktoberfest so we enjoyed the festival after we finished the race. I always enjoy Fort Worth's Oktoberfest one reason is because it's closer to my house the other is because well Beer of course. We couldn't stay long but we did enjoy what we experienced.

Whether Oktoberfest is in Addison or Fort Worth, it's always a good time with friends, beer and food! The lines are pretty long for food not so much for the beer. Just wish Oktoberfest lasted until...well October! Lol

I love attending Oktoberfest so i always try to make it out. It was canceled for 2020 but it came back 2021 and you could tell they struggle this year in terms of vendors. There are usually a lot more food vendors along with shopping but it seems that COVID keeps some of them away. There were a lot fewer food stands this year compare to previous years. When you purchase your ticket you get a stein while supplies last. I recommend buying tickets in advance to make getting through the doors easier. They are open Thursday Friday and Saturday but I recommend going thru or fri when is less crowded and by going those days you get a higher chance of getting a stein since it's first come first serve. Each day they are open they have different competitions and live bands for people to enjoy. There are also midway rides available for everyone to enjoy and this year 2021 they had a Ferris wheel but it was not working (sad face). The line for corn dogs and nachos was insane, all I wanted was a funnel cake but I decided to wait till the state fair because the lines there would be much shorter. They had pork chops, schnitzel, German sausage with german potatoes, and of course pretzel and kettle corn. Lots of beer tents and lemonade stands for those who can't drink alcohol. Official parking for the festival is $10 but there are other lots near there that may charge more for further away. Located in panther island there is limited parking on some streets because they are a one-way street but always get there earlier to get the best choice of parking. I drive a compact car and I was able to find parking next to the dumpster at the end of a row of cars because it was so small haha. In the previous years, they had the year on the stein but I noticed this year they did not (no big deal but I did notice). There is a tent where they do sell souvenirs from previous years and you can purchase t-shirts, steins, pins, keychains, and much more but make sure you get there ASAP because when they run out they run out. Security will scan your ticket and will give you a wrist band, no outside food or drinks are allowed but you can bring your own stein if you have it at home. I always try to dress up because I feel it makes it more festive and you can see that in my pictures.

The food was good. Especially the pretzels . The beer was good, too. The musicians were all talented and loads of fun. But there are too many things that need help.Venue: It's on a dirty patch of land that is annoyingly dusty and uneven. There is some tree shade, but that doesn't make up for the fact that your feet are going to filthy if you don't wear closed toe shoes. But it's 98 degree and I want to wear flip flops, you say. Don't. Just don't. You will be sorry. It's nearly impossible to catch a breeze on this dirty patch of land. If you're under the polka tent, then being a towel. A towel? Yes, bring one to mop your constantly sweating forehead and arms. There is no moving air in that polka tent. Great music. Hotter than hell.Price: $15 to park at Farrington Field? Sorry, but I think that's too much. I've paid $15 for one day's entry, and now another $15 for parking: $30 and I haven't had a beer yet.No cash: There are no cash transactions at any merchant inside. Credit or debit cards only. I brought $20 bills so I could buy a beer and then tip with cash. Nope. Credit only. Maybe you won't mind. I do.

First time attending the event and had a good time. I was surprised the beer wasn't ridiculously overpriced and was $6 for a stein at 19oz or so I think it was - craft beer was $8 a stein. Though I do think it's overkill charging $10 entry and then another $10 parking - I think your $10 entry should include one beer. We spend the majority of our time in the main beer hall, inside, with the huge industrial fans, which had entertainment going on the entire time. We also got some pretzels and a strudel - both really good, sad there was only mustard for the pretzels and no beer cheese. The line for sausage was huuuuge, no thank you. Thankfully I was always able to get beer pretty quick.

Wilkommen to the Fort Worth Oktoberfest!Buy your tickets in advance online, and you will be guaranteed a bier stein. Tickets are $5 for Thursday (5pm-11pm); $10 for Friday (5pm-11pm) and $10 for Saturday (11am-11pm). You can buy tickets at the door, but they can't guarantee a stein for you. Since it is still blazing hot outside, I would recommend going at night when it is cooler and on Thursday when it isn't as crowded.Event parking is $10 unless you drive an Audi. Since Audi is sponsoring the event, Audi owners can park for free. We arrived early on the 1st day, and we were able to score free, rockstar, street parking just outside the event parking entrance. There are bands, contests and activities throughout the festival. Grab a program guide when you enter the festival so you don't miss the entertainment. We saw the Beer hoisting contest. Participants had to hold a full stein of beer (about 5 lbs) directly in front of them with an outstretched arm parallel to the floor without spilling. The person who maintained this posture the longest won prizes. Anyone could participate, but you have to sign up.A German Club had a pretzel throwing contest and a German-speaking, geography knowledge bowl. Everyone was invited to participate. You could also enjoy a game of Jenga or cornhole while downing some Oktoberfest bier. Check out the marketstrasse to find German meals and desserts. A plate of schnitzel (breaded pork cutlet), saurkraut, German potatoes, and a roll will cost $10. Bratwurst was available too. Afterwards, it is worth indulging in some freshly baked, flaky filo apple or cheesecake strudel. It is served hot out of the oven. You won't be disappointed. Many people come dressed up which adds to the ambiance, but if you didn't, don't fret. You can try and buy from vendors onsite and deck yourself in traditional leiderhosen or fun costumes, Steins, t-shirts and other knick-knacs can be found as well. Some vendors took credit cards. If you prefer to pay in cash, stop by one of the many ATM machines throughout the venue. The ground is mostly dirt and uneven, so I recommend wearing sturdy shoes. Although I'm not sure that will make much of a difference after you have downed a few beers. The event is lively and fun, especially if you go with friends and a designated driver. Prosit!

I don't know why they are pre-pouring beer into pitchers, placing them on a table, and serving from there, but you should not expect a cold beer. This was at every beer serving table I found What an incredibly strange way to treat beer at an Oktoberfest celebration of all places.

The worst fair Ive ever been to,not even a German festival but more like the stock show midway! No pets including dogs. I had to stand in line for a beverage over half an hour and when I got all the way up front the blonde lady told me as I was pulling the money from my wallet She says, "We dont tak cash, but if you put that $20 dollar bill and put it in the tip jar I will turn my head!" Between that incident and the 400% markup on souvenirs I was scammed and lost interests quickly and left for home- Pathetic!!
