I come here at least once every 3 or 4 months. My food and experience are always great! Today I ordered the pineapple curry, with jalapeños, level 2 spice, and add shrimp. I was charged the $2 of shrimp so that I could make sure I got 8 pieces of shrimp. (totally worth it!) and charged $1 for the jalapeños (this is understandable as well!) I was extremely excited when I got home, put my rice in a bowl and poured over the curry, for the food to be exactly how I wanted! Especially when you've had a long day of classes and projects.. sometimes you just want take out so you don't have to cook and takeout is the option for the night. My total including tip came out to just over $19. I would consider that a win considering the bid portions! All this and I came in the last hour of their closing time, I was nervous of not being treated properly, but that was not the case! Service was great as usual. Ambiance was amazing as always. Food met expectations! So happy with my decision to stop in today. Usually, on a warmer day I get the avocado smoothie with boba and it pairs nicely to settle the heat of whatever dish I order! Will probably be back this weekend to get my boba fix. Great business always great :)

I had no idea this place was here. Fortunately a friend took me last night and wowza. So yummy. Veggie Spring Rolls - 4.75 stars. Very fresh but I like my peanut sauce with a little kick. The sauce was creamy (I prefer more chopped peanuts) but was missing depth. No biggie, just added a little bit of chili oil and all was well. Khao Soi with Fried Tofu - 5 stars. I have 0 critiques. My friend is vegan so we substituted for rice noodles. Spice level 3 was perfect. Flavors are layered and nothing was lacking. Just a perfect dish. I want to try other dishes but I'm afraid I'll just keep coming back to this one!Thai Papaya Salad - 5 stars. Again, since my friend is vegan, we asked for no fish sauce. The salad was amazingly fresh. Without the fish sauce, flavor was lacking for me but I'm not going to knock stars off for personal taste when the dish was so fresh and nicely spiced. Level 3 here too. I'm going to be back for sure.

This place is a hidden gem! It's at the corner of Rufe Snow and Glenview Dr. The inside is clean and spacious for a smaller spot. The staff were super kind and service was fast!We ordered chicken pad Thai, yellow curry, and fried ice cream for dessert. The main entrees were decent sized, we ate half and packed the rest to go. We even had to wait a little before deciding to order dessert because we were full! The food was delicious! Spicy and savory! I'd recommend the fried ice cream for sure!

They were right. The flavor of Mama Special had a very deep rich flavor. My sponsor loves curry but not heat do ordered level 1. I am an adventurous person so I order Level 2.

I really want to like this place but it's very very hard to. I gave it probably 10 tries before writing this review, and everytime it reminds me why I don't come here. The taste of the food itself it's probably ok. I mean nothing special compared to other Thai joint. Just a regular Thai food. I mean I wouldn't miss it if this place close down or if I don't eat here ever again. The lunch menu is TERRIBLE! It's expensive with how much food they give you. I mean every time I come here and I get Panang curry chicken, I probably get 4pieces of chicken in that thing in a little tiny container. Same thing with the padseeew. Probably 4/5 pieces of beef. I definitely see no values of going to this place. Customer service is meh. They don't care about you. And when the food is meh and the customer service is meh. Makes the whole restaurant meh.

Glad to have tried this spot. Don't be turned off by the exterior, it's a hole in the wall by a gas station but the food was pretty solid. Inside there's plenty of seating, they even had the games on Sunday. They have all the usual Thai dishes, the selection was vast.We ordered a few dishes including Pad Kee Mow, crab fried rice and Thai peanut noodles. All were above average in quality. The fried rice was served in a heart shape, which was cute. All the dishes can be customized for spice level from 1-5. I give them credit for staying true with the spice, it certainly brought the heat at 2. Ended with sticky mango rice for dessert, which was perfect after all the spice. Overall it's a good spot, we would return if we're in the area.
