If you're a sushi lover, you HAVE to check out Nori Hand Roll Bar. Chef Deuk knows his stuff--he serves up the freshest fish around, and it really shows in every bite. The vibe of the place is perfect too, with a cool, laid-back atmosphere that makes it feel both upscale and cozy at the same time. The omakase menu is the real star here. Each piece is perfectly crafted, with flavors that just work together in the best way. Chef Deuk puts so much care into everything he makes, and you can definitely taste it. Whether you're a sushi pro or just getting into it, this spot is an absolute must. Can't recommend it enough!

Oh man im super bummed they changed management about a year ago because this place used to be my favorite place to go and would come back for when i visited in 2023. I would make day trips to dallas from orlando just for the handrolls. But it doesnt taste the same anymore as the flavor wasnt there for each handrolls and fish wasnt as fresh. The handroll that stood out the most to us was the scallops as it was super crunchy. But they gave us lean salmon, the toro did not hit the same and the crab and lobster just wasnt as good as we remembered. Also prices have gone up alot compared to their competitors for what we had.The crunch is there still and our staff was super sweet and gave us a chance to try the strawberry crepe cake but sadly i dont think we will be visiting dallas for nori anymore.

Nori was my favorite food spot in Dallas!Pretty straight to the point with hand rolls, but they offer different tiered menus depending how hungry you are at very reasonable prices. The apps and cocktails are good as well. The hostess is great with keeping time and sitting you at the time of your reservation and was sweet enough to even hang our coats on hangers so it's not on our laps during the meal.I've come back here a couple times already and I was just visiting. It's also located in a popular area where you can hang and walk around for more eats or shopping.

I first came to this restaurant years ago during its soft opening and it instantly became one of my favorite spots... there have been ups and downs since then with quality, covid, and ownership change. I went recently this past week and am pleased to say the fish quality is truly at its best. Everything melted in my mouth and I had to even go back for seconds of some nigiri. If you're going I definitely recommend going for the hangry because the final 2 rolls make the experience 12/10.

I used to really like this place, but the quality went down when I came back after a while. I came for omakase, and they only gave me ALL white fish nigiri... This is so unheard of. The chef was new and mentioned that he didn't realize it was all white fish until I brought it up. No variety or premium nigiri were included. The price of omakase went up from last year, so I was expecting either same or better quality.... I was really disappointed. Nori truly used to be a restaurant I loved.TLDR: Omakase quality is terrible now. Better off ordering off the menu.

The food is great and the service is super friendly. Ping our usual host/server is always a joy. The restaurant is more on the traditional Japanese sushi side with only bar seating and the food is prepared right in front of you. Big shout out to the incredible cocktails! I like to consider myself a cocktail connoisseur and that's usually not a strength of Sushi places, but these are some of the best in Dallas. Go during lunch/happy hour and try the Mexican Penicillin.

I have wanted to try Nori out for so long, I've waited thinking it would be too busy but on a Monday night, I walked right in. They have plenty of seats, all bar style. I got a seat right in front of the sushi chef (of which they have 2 at all times it seems). I ordered the Hungry set, which was a great deal. They prepare the hand rolls for you as you finish so everything is very fresh, and the nori, which they're known for, is extra crisp and fresh. The sushi chef, Lim, helped explain every order to me as it came out. It was also happy hour with $3 sushi which was also delicious, but the standout star were the hand rolls. My favorite was definitely the soft shell crab, give it a try!

Five star experience at Nori Handroll Bar. We came into Dallas for the day around lunchtime and stumbled upon this handroll bar. I am a sucker for a good handroll so I was excited! To my surprise, they had an amazing lunch special so my friend and I opted for that in addition to on of their specials for the day. Sharing was the move since we were eating our way through the city. For the special, we got the Kanpachi which is an amberjack with uni, caviar & gold flakes. This was divine and we both enjoyed it, plus felt oh so fancy with the caviar and gold flakes. For the lunch special, we actually shared it one special. This came with our choose of appetizer (we got the edamame), and choose 4 temakis thinking we'd get two each. The two I chose were the King Salmon and the Negihama, and my friend also got the King Salmon but she got the Maguro. To our surprise, the chef divided the handrolls we got differently in two so we actually got to try everything. I absolutely loved how they did that. The contents in each handroll were so fresh and the seaweed so crisp! Safe to say, I'll be back here if I'm every visiting in the area again.

Nori Handroll Bar offered good food and calm, aesthetic vibes that are worth a revisit. It's all bar seating, and based on the size of the space, you may want to consider making a reservation ahead of time.We started off with chicken karaage and takoyaki for apps, both of which were good but nothing particularly special and somewhat small in size. The sashimi was delicious as well. The star of the show and the restaurant's namesake were the handroll sets. I tried the "I could eat" set of 3 rolls, consisting of a salmon, spicy tuna, and red crab roll. The salmon was reliably good and rich. The spicy tuna was decent, though chopped up in a way that you can't really appreciate the texture and it ends up tasting just like a spicy tuna roll you could get anywhere. My favorite was the red crab roll, which was sweet, creamy/rich, and overall delicious (unfortunately with poor presentation in a broken seaweed wrap - not the biggest deal, but at an elevated sushi place with high prices, I'd expect better). Other perks of the experience include wasabi with what tastes like real pieces of wasabi root and a hand wipe soaked in citrus water to cleanse your hands before your meal.Overall, good experience that could be even better in a few minor ways, and I'm interested in trying again!

Great place for fresh sushi and sashimi. It is a true sushi bar. The staff are very efficient, and the chefs make wonderful handrolls and other selections. This was our first time, but definitely not our last.
