Nguyen Loi Oriental Supermarket

Urgh I go to the store a lot. For some reason they have the sweetest frozen durian in DFW. But BEWARE!!!! When you buy package things; even frozen dimsum at times or chips, any can goods, even pocky check the expiration date! Sometimes they are expired for couple months already This place is so convenient but it should not be legal to sell expired stuff.

This is THE worst Asian store in the metroplex. It smells like rotten fish, the store is extremely dim and not well lit, the floors are sticky, the shelves are empty and brown, the produce section is subpar, and the cashiers are just downright awful! They do not care about customer service whatsoever. We rather drive to Arlington which is 25 minutes away from our house than come to this grocery store which is only 10 minutes away because of everything I just listed above. The cashiers take forever to check you out OR they just disappear! My coworker also came here once and agreed it is the worst Asian store around. There was a recent article that came out where the owner said he was afraid that H Mart will come and steal all of his customers and shut them down. Guess what? THEY WILL. And you should be afraid that you'll be shut down. If you just put in just a teeny weeny bit more effort into freshening up and cleaning the store and hire friendlier, more efficient cashiers, you wouldn't be scared. But because they're so lazy to invest time into their business, they probably will close down after H Mart opens. Do better, Nguyen Loi, do better. It isn't that hard.

The store is just like any typical Asian store! Simple, nothing fancy!It does need more cashiers though!Sometimes you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to pay your merchandise! Overall, you get everything you need, and the prices are reasonable!

i used to recommend this Asian Market cause its cheaper, its close to my work. But its just going downhill. I usually go here to buy fish, but man! fish is not fresh at all, fish eyes are black already and parts of its skin/scale already burned from the freezer. its just gross, the whole fish section. the owner just stopped caring, foul smell when you get in, no prices, no weighing scale, dirty shelves, dirty fish and meat section, crushed and bad vegetables. man! cant wait for Hmart to open.

I love coming to this supermarket! It's a bit if a drive but it's closer than Arlington...this place has fresh fish...produce, cookware...Peking Duck (I'm getting that...one day...). Noodles, fresh Banh Mi rolls(Mmmmm) meat...I can't say enough about how I like this place. The service is great. Ask for assistance and they help. The ambience might be intimidating but you get used to it. You step into another culture for sure...but come back you'll become accustomed to it and enjoy it!

The store is improving.... Definitely cleaner and better stocked shelves. Just still need prices because asking is a chore. Hawaiian island customers can find some local faves and dress taro leaves.

Nuygen Loi is so unclean. Here's evidence.. fresh fish being covered up with a rug by all means. This is a health concern. The items on their racks have no prices on them. Unsure what the prices are until you are at check out. Cashier people are not the friendliest either. Oh don't fry your fish at this place, yea it's free... but the oil is dark and looks old. I saw someone's fish being fried up and the bubbles that came up in the oil was dark orange with soot in it. I really doubt they clean and remove the old oil, probably the oil been sitting there for weeks.

I do not recommend this store at all it is unclean and the employees are extremely rude. I went on Sunday 10/15 and purchased a teapot only to find out that mine had no lid and they all are supposed to come with lids so I went back today to ask if I could be either refunded or have it exchanged the lady who "helped" me was extremely rude and a total asshole. When I showed her the teapot and the lid was clearly not there she said "why did you not check it if you're the one who picked it up" I was trying to be nice and simply told her I didn't think to check it until I got home after I got a new teapot she kept asking if I had broken the lid at that point I was angry and annoyed asf and loudly said no and left.Again I repeat THIS STORE IS ABSOLUTE BULL CRAP DON'T WASE YOU'RE TIME

Place is dirty and the meat/seafood section has a foul odor. A lot of the veggies are decomposing. Hopefully this place will clean up a bit once h mart opens up.

Lol, David Dang, stop crying. Maybe if you actually not cheap out and invest in your gross dirty grocery market, you wouldn't be so worried about H Mart opening. The last time I came here, 30% of items got no price on it. It's whatever we feel like charging that day. Yall need to shut down.
