Amazing wide selection of everything- don't let the size fool you. Two gotchas to know before you go though... 1) Cash only for anything less than $10 (they're thinking of lowering it to $5), which is worth knowing because with their prices it's very easy to get what you need and not spend the minimum, and 2) the owner (it is mom and pop) tells time with a calendar. 10:00am opening? Or 10:15, or 10:30...maybe 10:45. I spent more time sitting in the parking lot waiting than I did in the store until I learned it wasn't that it was Sunday morning, or the weather was bad- it's always like that. The atmosphere is very friendly, even the other customers. I wore my cowboy duds in their once and got some good natured ribbing from some matronly Indian women about what I knew about making a good curry. Oh, the son is a bit off-putting. He stands at the end of the aisle and watches everyone like a hawk. I almost turned to him once and said, "Do I *look* like a shoplifter?" At least they don't profile. They don't respond to emails if you wonder about an ingredient. Good to go and ask; I've searched for a long while and not found something but when I asked it was always discovered. It helps to know the Hindi word as well, but that makes sense with some things. I don't know many Indian grocers that you could ask for "dried pompegranate seeds" and they would know that's "amla". Which they had. They even have it in fresh form, frozen!

I like this Indian grocery store because it's clean, products aren't expired, family owned small business. It's small but has what you need, produce is good as well. I used to go to another IndoPak grocery store in the area but the overwhelming smell of raw stinking meat and dirtiness turned me off. New Diamond is my preferred local Indian grocery store.
