Bad food, very small portions like tapas, extremely slow and inattentive service. There are better Indian in that area

I ordered a chicken biryani, lamb korma, chicken momo, and garlic naan for takeout. The korma was definitely worth it, and the naan was also good. The momos were better than most in the area. However, the biryani was disappointing--the rice didn't taste fresh and was a bit hard. It could have been better. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and I'd go back to give it another try!

Went with a friend from Nepal as we traversed they Dallas on a work trip to central Texas. He wanted me to try authentic Nepalese food and I was more than happy to go with an expert. Once we arrived, I let my buddy direct me on ordering. We split appetizer of Sukuti. He explained it was a form of dried water buffalo. That was a staple in parts of Nepal. The meat was firm but flavorful. If youHave ever had soft but slightly chewy beef jerky it's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. Although I am not doing it justice. It was probably by far my favorite dish and they were all good. He said it was the most authentic like his family would make. We then had momos (dumplings with chicken in a red sauce). I was not expecting much as many dumplings from other cultures seem bland, I was surprised by how flavorful these were. The main course was their Namaste Special Thali Set. I had chicken and my friend had mutton. Both meats were good (and I'm not a fan of mutton). The various sides that are also on the set (can't remember the names) were excellent. I loved the black eyed peas that came with it. I quickly ran out of rice and they happily brought more. The atmosphere was well done. A modern mix of upscale restaurant meets a sports bar. It was nicer than expected when I first saw it in the corner of the little shopping mall. There were several tvs including a massive quad tv. But they blended well without being distracting. There were not many people based on the large group in the table behind me, I do not suspect noise would be an issue. The waitress was excellent. My only issue was that it was pretty dark. I almost yearned for a flashlight (remembering not to find it so amusing the next time my father uses one to read a menu).....

We always go for momos at this place, and they're consistently good. This time, we tried naan curry and fried rice as well, and I'd recommend trying them for once. The flavors have a distinct Nepali style

We arrived for a Friday date night, on our first trip to Dallas together. We've heard great things about the Indian/Nepalese cuisine in Dallas and couldn't wait to try it out. We arrived around 10pm right from DFW airport. The waiting area was pretty small especially with people coming, paying for their order and people picking up to-go orders. We waited for a table rather than a bar spot but the wait was not too long. We ordered veggie chili momos, veggie chow mein, lamb tikka masala, and mixed vegetables curry. The food came out quick and fresh! We couldn't have been more pleased with the taste and quality of our food. Even better there was live music from a young man and young woman and they were phenomenal! They play every Fri and Sat from 10pm - 1am. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal!

Legit Indian / Nepalese food in Irving. We arrived late night one night and were greeted with the A/C being out. It wasn't too bad so we decided to give it a go.We got the chili momos, the Gobi Manchurian, veg noodles, and the chicken tikka masala. We did have a second hiccup where the chicken tikka came out as paneer tikka but the server apologized and we were served a chicken tikka in no time. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was great. The gobi was a little on the sweet side with a slathering of sauce but it was tasty nonetheless. We were sweating due to a combo of the lack of A/C and our own ordering -- we went with the hot spice on every dish! But the water was flowing to cool us down so can't complain too much. I did get the vibe that this place could be a club vibe on weekends. There's a stage, a legit sound system, a decent bar, and a huge tv. On a random weekday evening there were no more than 10 diners in the restaurant.Pro tip: If you like spice, this spot is for you. Every dish we got, we asked them to hit it with the fire and it was legit hot! Not just insane chilis and slide but actual flavor heat. That potato chip heat where you just can't stop!

The offerings from Namaste Grill were pretty much aligned with those of the other Nepali restaurants in and around town (as I've iterated before, Irving and surrounding areas have some great ones), so I was looking forward to this.Momos (my favorite dumpling variety) was definitely on the cards - this time being of the kothe kind (shaped as half-moon and pan fried) and stuff with minced chicken and spices. The texture of the momos were great - chewy in some bites and crispy in the parts where they had contact with the pan. Two thumbs up.The chicken appetizer was tossed with veggies including my arch nemesis (bell peppers). Advertised as chicken chilli (which in cases across the border in India mean you can expect spice), but the Nepali variety I've come to find in my personal experiences alone usually have a sweet and tangy bent to them.In this case it was no different, and the chicken was moist and not overcooked.Fried rice with chicken was a bit of the let down since it was not seasoned as expected and the meat was a bit dry.Overall, a pretty good experience with respect to the food at this spot.
