Main aisle very steep. Stumble/fall if in rush to get out. Note exit upper right corner of photo. Another one to right of photo.

We have been here a couple of times - once for a performance of Wicked, and another for a Morrissey concert - both times made especially memorable because of this venue. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, so the earlier you get here, the better. Also, the lines for the restrooms can get long, as well. They are located downstairs, so give yourself some time to get in and take care of business.

Had a great time seeing & Juliet here. The venue is really pretty, definitely had a prime time at one point. (Its vintage charm is nice - just know what to expect). The staff was very friendly and they have a nice selection of snacks and drinks to enjoy during the show.

Amazing venue with helpful staff! Concession stands were extremely busy and didn't get time to order before the musical started. They have a QR code you can scan to order and it was a smooth experience.

Betelguese, Betelgeuse, Betel ... Ahhh what a charming and delightful musical! I have always loved Music Hall at Fair Park! Lots of parking and lots of memories as a child coming here. Once I heard Betelgeuse was showing, HAD to go!This establishment seems to remain timeless! It's almost 100 years old. The acoustics are phenomenal (with some recent improvements, it is considered one of the best for musicals)! It is of Spanish Baroque style with Moorish architectural influences. It containing six stair towers capped with cast domes and arcade porches overlooking Fair Park. It has always looked down its nose at Fair Park but adds a lot of class. It has housed the Dallas Symphony, Dallas Opera, Dallas Summer Musicals plus more than a few Broadway travelling shows! My 2nd cousin's husband, a historic Oscar winning musician/director/producer in his own right, took me to a couple of symphony performances here as a child. He loved this place. While I loved watching and immersing into the sounds as the DSO played Rachmaninov's Isle Of The Dead and Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre one Halloween's eve (1968 or 1969?), it was Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker a couple of months later I've fondly recalled. Of course, seeing ZZ Top play was also a favorite. While I love the buffet when going, overall, I find this place quite cool to have a date night. All in one package deal (A tip: make reservations for the buffet once you get your tickets as they do sell out.)

Oh my god, my family and I went to see The Nutcracker at Music Hall at Fair Park. It was a wonderful experience and I loved every minute of it. The show was spectacular. The talent was outstanding. My 9 y/o had so much fun. She was smiling, dancing and could not stop looking at the show. I have been at the music hall several times now and I like the amount of staff and organization they always have, especially with the bathroom situation. I do feel like they need a bit of improvement with the place perse. It's an old building and it would definitely benefit of some nice/modern updates. Other than that the regular parking seemed ok and it was only $10 so that was pretty affordable. We did valet because we were almost late and for $25 we didn't need to park far and walk in the freezing cold. We were at the 2nd balcony on row J so I thought they were pretty decent seats. The show was a total of 2hrs which was perfect for the amount of little kids in the audience. We went to the 6pm show and it was full but not insanely packed. I was so happy I decided to get us tickets to see the Nutcracker and create a beautiful memory with my family. It is something I would love to do every year if possible.

I've been here a few times now for shows, the most recent of which was last night for Beetlejuice the Musical. I've primarily sat in the rear of the floor and have had good experiences there. Of course, the rear sides can have somewhat obstructed view depending how far to the side you are, but that's standard of all performance theaters. Last night I saw in the balcony in Section QQ Row M Seat 1. I will never forget it as I had COMPLETE leg room!!!!! It was glorious! I have long legs and have never had free space for legs in a theater outside of sitting in the front row on the floor. This was a welcome and unexpected treat! There were no obstructions in that seat, however you are high up so to see details of faces and make up, costumes, etc. you will need binoculars. The only issue I had with that seat/section/balcony was that the sound quality was not very good up there. I felt like it was hard to hear the words in certain songs and dialog in the performance because of bad acoustics or the sound system. I've experienced better in balconies of other theaters so that was disappointing, and I never had that issue when sitting on the floor at other performances at Music Hall FP.I like that there are bars throughout the theater and that they have a restaurant (Crystal Terrace) and concession stands throughout the theater. I ate at Crystal Terrace last night without a reservation and was very pleased with the service and food options. It's $35 per person for a full buffet. The food was good!I really like the parking options at Music Hall also as you don't have to pay to park there. If you want a close spot, that's $35 but if you don't mind walking a bit further or taking the extended golf-cart for a ride, the free options are perfect. Expect traffic of course. If the sound had been better in the balcony last night, this would be a 5-star rating. If anything can be done to improve the sound system/acoustics, the folks in the nosebleeds would appreciate it.

The Music Hall is a lovely venue for seeing Broadway Musicals, the symphony, and a variety of other shows. We recently saw comedian Ali Wong perform here. The venue is at Fair Park. The line of cars backed up down the road just to turn into the site for parking. We shot past it and did a u-turn at the next light and were easily able to enter and park. Parking cost us about $10 cash. There were extended golf carts driving through the lot collecting people and taking them to the Music Hall. No charge for the ride. The driver was kind enough to tell us the lot where he picked is up, but I never did see any markings that indicated it for finding our way back. The Music Hall is a lovely venue that can hold 2000 people. The seats are plush and velvety. We had front row seats in the pit which means these seats are added or removed depending on the performance. Oftentimes that means they won't be comfortable, but that wasn't the case at all. I didn't need to shift in my seat at all during the show. I was relaxed the entire time. Well, I was a little nervous about being in the front row at a comedy show, but thankfully the warm-up act and the headliner didn't pick on the audience at all. Whew!Bar lines in the auditorium were long. They do play the audio of the show on the speakers so you can hear it if you need to wait in line or head to the bathrooms downstairs. I personally enjoy attending shows at this venue, but only if my husband drives me here. Traffic here can be a problem, so leave early so you don't have to line up for that drink before the show starts.

Went to the Andrew Schultz comedy show in April. It was our first time at the Music Hall and although I looked at previous reviews (mostly negative) of this place, a lot of it was true unfortunately. Made sure to leave and get there early due to their parking situation. They definitely needed more signs to direct the traffic flow and entrance to their parking since it was a little confusing. The sound in the auditorium was also pretty bad. We sat pretty close to the stage and it was still difficult to hear clearly. Because of that, I don't think we'll be back for future events.

It's the OG Music Hall and it's beautiful! Go early so you're not overwhelmed with traffic entering the parking areas.Music Hall is older, of course, so there is only one bathroom. However, the workers keep the loooooong line moving so everyone has a chance to use the powder room at intermission. The parking was somewhat difficult. Once you park, you can hop a ride on a golf cart.
