Movie Tavern Denton

A very nice Denton Center motion picture and restaurant, that serves food and drinks at your seat; staff is always friendly and helpful. Great news for the general public of inside the loop life in the decidedly bohemian community of "L'l d." Enjoy the film and save us the aisle seats.Cheers,Mark F.

Our bill for one entree, one popcorn, one water, two beers and one sprite was $93. This was shocking. Lots of fees and tip included. We could have had a great steak dinner but had mediocre chicken strip instead. We will never return.

This was our first time here, and we had a great time! We were invited by Amazon Prime to a theater screening.For staters, they have been renovated, and they have a full bar! They have lots of beers on tap, and a specialized cocktail menu! They also are set up to show Sunday football games... cheap cold beer, and big screen TV's! It's worth considering!The building was clean, including the restrooms. They do not take orders at your seat, but they do deliver food to your seat! If the concession line is long, you can order at the bar, and they will deliver to your seat!! We had the bacon cheeseburger. Totally legit! Crispy bun, well cooked, real meat, melted cheese, and crispy bacon. One of the best burgers I have had in a while! We got the 12" pizza. It's super thin crust, works for a snack... probably won't hold you over! Each topping is additional, so a meat lovers or veggie lovers will break the bank! We had the bacon w/ the hot honey drizzle, and it was delicious! The theater was large and clean. Although my chair didn't recline (theater 5, row G) it seemed every other one in the theater did. The staff were all super friendly!In almost every aspect, it's a really great theater!4 STARS

[Update, Dec 25, 2023]It has been a long time since I've been to Movie Tavern. I wasn't sure what to expect considering the service changes over the past few years (no ordering from your seat, etc). However, I was PLEASANTLY surprised. The theater seats and tables seem updated from the original bench-table setup from years ago. Buying a ticket and ordering food online was actually better than dealing with ordering from a chair in a dark loud theater. I ordered a pizza and it was really good. For real, the pizza was nice and crispy with a lot of toppings and it was the perfect size. The chicken tenders and fries were great, too. Service was friendly and they were all working quickly with a smile on this Christmas Day.Great place. I'm glad the theater survived the rough past few years and I think the place is better now than before. And big thanks to the crew for working on Christmas so people can enjoy a movie.

The service is nice, staff are friendly, and the tickets are inflation friendly! What more could you ask for?

I must say the vision and vibe are great but the execution was atrocious. The seats had greasy fingerprints on the arms and near the buttons. My husband's chair was a bit janky but he eventually got it to work. We ordered food and drinks at the beginning of the movie but they didn't bring it out so about 30 min after the time the first order was supposed to be delivered I had to miss the movie and go track someone down to ask about it. My daughter and a friend ordered a pizza to share that was not cut into slices and arrived cold along with the popcorn we both ordered. There was only one employee in the whole theater was pleasant and tried to make it a good experience for us. The food runner was definitely going at a very slow turtle crawl when I saw her strolling in the hallway. It's no wonder the food wasn't coming out on time, they must have had only 5 people on staff that night. I don't think we will return here unless some significant improvements are made.

Our food was extremely overpriced and bland two entrees a popcorn and a small water cost over 60 dollars!!!Me and my girlfriend were hungry before the movie but we could barely eat any of our food. The service was terrible and unprofessional and clearly uncaring.One of the worst cinema experiences I've ever had.

I like that you get a free little popcorn if your a member. However, if you're planning on buying food.. go to a different theater. The food has really gone downhill. I got fried pickles and a pizza. The fried pickles were tough and the ranch was gross. The pizza was nice and crispy but the toppings were not good at all and tasted very cheap. I'd say only come here if you're not going to eat.

THEY STOLE MY BOYFRIEND PHONE MY BOYFRIEND LOST HIS PHONE and we were the last ones in the theatre before closing and went first thing in the morning and now it's gone and manager acted like it was our fault hope y'all enjoy a free phone fucking losers

i bought tickets online and still had to wait in line to be checked in because nobody was at the ticket stand and the manager was just sitting next to her other employee just doing nothing. i bought 2 buckets of popcorn and since they ran out we were told it would be delivered to us, we only got one. i told the person who brought our order that we paid for two but still didn't receive anything after that 0 stars if i could, and i only went because the alamo closed .
