Great! Come here 2-3x/ week. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Bathrooms (at least women's) is clean!Overall, the routes are good, there's a variety that tests out balance, strength, stamina etc.

You might get a whiff of smelly feet when you first walk in but it's a fun place and the smell goes away after awhile. It was my first time rock climbing and if you're a beginner definitely stick to the beginner ones and you'll enjoy it. If you have your own equipment it's 20$/day. If you are renting equipment it's 25$/day. The passes last all day at all Summit locations which is pretty cool and you can leave and come back on the same day. There are also memberships and punchcard passes if that floats your boat. There are some really good specials throughout the week such as Saturdays after 6 half off for college students with id, ladies after 6 on Fridays, BOGO for a date night idea on Tuesday after 4, and Monday before 2pm. This facility has 3 floors: Level 1: restrooms, workout area, top rope climbingLevel 2: boulderingLevel 3: training areaYou'll get orientation first and sign waivers as there's always risk involved. I stuck with the auto belayers but you could definitely get trained so you have more options when top roping. I'd definitely come back and probably go during the deal times since it was about $80 for 3 people. I'd recommend giving it a try!

Although I will miss the original Grapevine location for nostalgic reasons, I'm very happy this new Grapevine gym replaced the first one. Out of all the Summit gyms in DFW, my favorite is still the Plano location, but Grapevine is a great second choice for the reasons I will list below: 1. Even though Grapevine only has about 65% of the square footage of top-rope/lead climbing space, I feel like Grapevine uses the wall more efficiently than any other Summit gym. Routes overlap quite a lot, but are easily distinguishable (since each route uses only holds of one particular color), so the total number of routes to climb possibly match or exceed the number of routes at Summit Plano. 2. Lots of auto-belay options. I often visit Summit Grapevine alone, so it's nice to have 10ish auto-belays to choose from, in addition to the bouldering space on the second floor. Speaking of which...3. There is a lot of bouldering space available. Probably about equal to the bouldering space available at Summit Plano. There's also lots of variety in the bouldering as well, in terms of difficulty level as well as overhung and slab. The third floor also has a giant spray wall, and if memory serves me right, a moonboard. There's also some hangboard training equipment on the third floor, but if I'm being honest, I never really go up there. But I did notice that the staff brought over the giant green frog from the original gym and placed it on the third floor, in a similar fashion to how the frog was in the previous gym lol4. There is cardio and weight training equipment here so you can do that instead of (or in addition to) climbing if you'd prefer. No need for a second gym membership! There are some minor factors that I could nitpick, but they're so trivial that I'm not going to bother listing them here, since I'm clearly happy with how Summit Grapevine 2.0 is right now. Even with the new larger Movement Design District gym opening recently, I'm going to stick with Summit as my primary gym. (And I'm not bashing Movement at all- I've visited that gym and it's also a fantastic gym that you should check out)

I've been a member for well over a year and finally canceled my membership. They're more worried about bringing in foot traffic and classes toppling over one another. The membership has no perks if we can't even have space to climb without being bombarded by foot traffic. It's expensive because there's rarely enough room for members to climb. I switched to dyno-rock which is further than I'd like, but it's by far a better environment worth the money. The fact that I've had to leave Movement on multiple occasions after 30 minutes just to drive to Arlington to get a full climb in is ridiculous. Go on a day pass. It's cheaper, their membership serves no purpose and it's costly when you can hardly do any climbing. Do not, do not, do not join Movement. It's headed towards the gutter. They went from community to commercial. They're just looking to make bank.

Place is clean and fun but it would be nice if there was an air purifier upstairs of some sort. The mixture of dust and chalk makes my allergies act up.

Very bad. I wanted to cancel my membership with summit rock climbing gym. I accidentally put it off too long and even tho I called them the same day the payment went through, and wouldn't be able to even come to the gym any time soon, they refused to give me a refund. That's 70-80$ out the window, so my only option is to put it on hold and hope I have time to use what I paid for 3 months later. I restarted it now, three months later, and the company changed to movement. Even though I don't have time, I figured I might as well get what I can out of what I already paid for, and now they charged me ANOTHER 50$. Made up some stuff about changing the time that memberships get paid. That's 120-130$! I don't even really want the membership, I was just using it because I had already paid for it. On top of all that I can't even talk to anyone on the phone or in person. If have to fill out "membership change forms" and wait a week for a reply. After explaining my situation and asking for a refund and membership cancellation multiple times. They cancelled my membership and refunded me 37$. So now I'm only down $100 and didn't get to use my membership more than once.
