Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food

The food here was pretty good. I had the tempura shrimp, chicken katsu, and teriyaki steak. Tempura and katsu were great. Teriraki was ok. The macaroni salad and rice were also good.Also tried their cookies, which were great!Overall, a good experience.

OH MY! Instantaneously one of our fave restaurants, right out of the gate! Wonderful, on every metric.Of course, it's a counter-service, "fast food-ish" spot, with a refill station, but wow, as fast food goes, top notch!Spotless lobby, clean drink counter, staff very friendly (and patient with our newness), and the food is fresh. The portions/value are also very fair with the price to level of quality!Now, we're not complete noobs with Hawaiian food. We've been to the big isle and Uahu for stays long enough to get a taste for it. We ate all types of places, but our favorite memory was the street food with simple grilled chicken on rice, and the islanders perfected it. This is the nearest we've had to it since, and it's super good.Try it! It's a lot easier than flying half-way across the globe!

Nice place to come by for a quick Hawaiian fix. They have a setup like chipotle an economy line style for ease and quickness. Recommends just getting the mini and saving the $3 only difference between mini and regular is an extra scoop of rice and i got rice at home lol. The food came out fast and hot though. Just sucked no musubi was available when i went since the chef hadn't prepped it yet. Had that been there and good ny rating would have been a 4/5

Stopped on a Monday afternoon for lunch.Here is what we liked :* Quick service. We were the only ones there.* The macaroni salad was on point.* Got the recommended favorite and it was a large portion- plenty of chicken and rice.What could have been better.* The chicken was dry and other than a little sauce drizzled over the top- bland.* Service while fast was mechanical and felt like we were interrupting them doing nothing.Overall, underwhelmed. Other options in the area that are better

We love Mo'Bettah's! Food is tasty, and the portion sizes are generous!! Give it a try...you won't be disappointed!

First timer! I had been wanting to try this place as soon as it opened because I am fan of Hawaiian style food. Online ordering system was a breeze! If you sign up for their rewards program you get free mini plate which was awesome so we try a few of their meats. The service was great and so friendly. I was greeted right away and food was package with care (to go order). My husband and I loved their food! Will be back again!

First time visitor last evening, and have to say I am hooked! LOVE the char on the grilled chicken, Mac salad is well spiced, and just some great casual food! The grilled steak also was very good, although the chicken was the winner tonight! Fact that I can walk to HEB after dining is a plus! Check it out! Try a few different chickens and find a new favorite! Great addition to the Alliance area.

What large portions! The chicken has a beautiful char to it that really enhances the flavors and the mini plate is larger than expected with rice, Mac salad, and the 2 meats. I'm a little afraid of getting a larger portion because the mini is so filling.There is plenty of seating in the restaurant and the staff is very nice.I highly recommend the chicken!

Wanted to try a new place to eat and saw them near the HEB so decided to go...I do have mixed feelings, but will give slack simply due to them being brand new (grand opening today). Let's start with the bad to get that out of the way, which there really wasn't much. First, the staff seemed very confused, but it's day 1 so not holding that against them. Second, they didn't put teriyaki sauce on my teriyaki chicken and didn't give near enough on the side. Third, the decor made it very difficult to see the menu while in the line, and final was that the chicken was pretty good size pieces and not small enough to easily eat (had to grab a knife to cut it).Now that that's or of the way, the food quality is very good. I tried one of each chicken dishes (katsu, teriyaki, and one other) in the combo for 3 meats and OMG all 3 tastes amazing. Me nor my wife likes macaroni salad, so doubled the rice instead. The rice is basic and nothing special, but it was def the correct consistency and goes very well with the food and the teriyaki sauce. We also got their spicy sauce and that was amazing as well (not too spicy... At least to me.. But it did have a decent little kick to it).Overall, I'd def be willing to try here again once they figure things out and the staff is more comfortable there.Hopefully next time, they give more sauces, though since they only gave 2 of each sauces for 2 decent size plates which isn't enough since my wife and I both like putting more sauce than that on our rice to flavor everything up.
