Milano's Italian Ristorante

While visiting the Fort Worth area, I decided when in Texas let's try something out of the Tex norm so I decided on Italian! And I'm so glad I did! I looked up the closest place near the downtown area where I was staying and there was Milanos. We were greeted with an open door and seated quickly which was great considering it was 4ish and they definitely had enough people dining already. I looked at the menu and couldn't decide what I wanted and our waiter was definitely knowledgeable of the menu and made some great suggestions. I got stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were delicious! My entree came out soon thereafter and it was chicken piccata which was also Amazing! I paired my food with their red house wine and a water. Oh and the bread rolls were so good and came out hot to our table as asked for it!The atmosphere was very authentic with dim lighting and beautiful Italy theme portraits on the walls. It was a great find and I will definitely be back when I come to the area again!

Excellent choice for a casual, but amazingly authentic Italian restaurant. Service is great and quick and the cozy ambiance with Italian decor was so inviting. My daughter enjoyed a personal pizza with the complimentary delicious bread rolls. I absolutely loved my Eggplant Parmigiana entrée.

Visited this establishment with a colleague for lunch. They offer nice service and are very attentive. However, the food was pretty standard. I tried the chicken parmigiana and it was a bit watery.

Food is always good. Garlic knots are to die for. Facilities are clean and staff is so nice. But I got the chicken piccata tonight and I'm not sure what happened with the lack of breading and lack of chicken being sautéed in the piccata sauce. Don't get me wrong. It was very good. Just not their usual spectacular.

Just don't bother. Go to the next place on your list for Italian. Husband and I went there for lunch on a weekday after the lunch rush. 1 other couple in the restaurant. We stood there and waited about five minutes until the man behind the register noticed us... He was doing absolutely nothing, but staring off into space in the other direction... But then we were seated. Took about another 10 minutes for someone to come and give us a menu and bring us some water. my husband ordered a Stromboli which is exactly what he had been craving and I ordered eggplant Parmesan. My eggplant Parmesan tasted very good, but it was such a little serving that I was hungry when I finished. My husband's Stromboli was very large, but they had burnt the top of it, burnt the dough Until it was literally black. They still brought it out to him, and since he doesn't complain much, he ate it. I would not have. He said the flavor on the inside was good, but the burnt dough on the top kind of ruined it for him.Before our meal, they did bring out some very nice fluffy bread with a small plate of olive oil dipping sauce. There were four rolls. My husband ate a roll, and I ate a roll which totally did away with the olive oil on the small plate. I asked for another serving of dipping oil . The guy brought it to me and we enjoyed it. When we got the bill I found that he charged me $1.99 for the additional dipping oil. Never mentioned that when I asked for it. I thought that very strange and ridiculous. Upon leaving, we went to pay the bill, and were basically grunted at. Apparently I took way too long to sign the charge slip because the man who had sat us, who was running the register, just grabbed the receipt out of my hand, and slammed it into the cash register drawer. Not a great experience. This is why I say just skip it.

We had lunch. Food was fresh, hot, plentiful, and delicious. Salad was cold and crisp. Service was excellent with a smile. Will come back!

Please don't waste your money! What a bad experience! The waiter looked miserable and was not at all friendly. We ordered manicotti and veal picatta. Each came with a side salad which consisted of a few slivers of iceberg lettuce and a quarter of a sliced tomato, I would have been embarrassed to serve it. The manicotti was drenched in tomato sauce which was not fresh. The veal was a thinly sliced piece over pasta drenched in sauce that was horribly flavored. The only positive was the garlic rolls, which came with a sad little tablespoon of olive oil. Prices were high, especially for such bad food. A very disappointing experience.

Great food in a wonderful atmosphere! Service and staff are amazing. Fantastic bread!!!

I ordered my food to go and was greeted by the friendly staff when I arrived to pick up my order. They were quick to have it prepared. I ordered the lasagna and was a little disappointed. It was mostly pasta and way too much sauce with very little meat. I don't think it had ricotta cheese in it or at least I couldn't taste it from all that sauce, which overpowered the flavor of the whole dish. The Italian cream cake was good. I will still return and try a different dish.

I ordered a lasagna which has to be the worst I've ever had. It was ALL sauce. One slice of mozarella on top and a couple of noodle. It only had one layer of mush. I ordered rolls which they heated up but no butter. Don't waste your time & money on this place. They should be ashamed!!
