Food was very delicious broth was full with flavor along with a lovely presentation of the ramen. The service is awesome as well as speedy. When you come in they greet you very nicely and let you choose where you'd like to sit whenever it isn't busy, amazing place to grab lunch or craving ramen!!!

Love when I try a new Sushi place and it rocks, and Mikota absolutely rocks! The service was great, and so was the food! My server John was top-notch and got me everything I needed. He was polite, prompt, and professional!I ordered Salmon Sushi and a Shrimp Tempura Roll. Both were great, and while I was full, it did not stop me from wanting another Tempura Roll! I lived the look and feel of the interior of this place too. It was traditional sushi bar meets modern industrial look. It worked beautifully! Can't wait to come back!

not bad, this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Honestly, its hard to find good asian food to the west of DFW airport. i know if i want decent asian good, i need to go to richardson or carrollton. It was raining, and my wife wanted to get some noodle soup broth. We didn't want to drive to far, and the only choices was pho or ramen. when we entered, we didn't need to wait and got seated very quickly. we ended up getting the miso tonkotsu ramen and the black garlic ramen.honestly, both tasted the same, i think the black garlic ramen is miso tonkotsu, with black garlic. lol.i think a bowl was around 15 bucks, and for the amount of food we got, i don't think it was entirely worth it. Both ramen came with half an egg, and some slices of pork. I'd admit, the broth was decent, but definitely not the best i have ever tried. The interior is mainly booth seating with some table seating.they also have a sushi bar where you can sit close to the chef.

Used Mikoto to cater a large family function recently and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of ramen and other entrees and the turnaround time. We placed our order around dinner time and our 8 entrees were ready for pickup about 15-20 minutes later. Most people ordered the tonkotsu ramen, but we also had a miso tonkotsu and a few rice bowls with shaved beef and miso soup. Everything tasted great, and the amount of food was plentiful. We did have one hiccup where one do the meals wasn't included, but we were able to quickly remedy that. Overall happy with the experience.

The restaurant is really cute and I love the Pikachu statue on the front. Service is pretty good and I got my food really quickly. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and tuna roll. Although they are both a bit pricey, they're really delicious. I finished the entire meal! The ramen was piping hot and had a good noodle to broth ratio. The pork broth with the ginger to cut the fattiness of the soup hits the spot. The ramen has good amount of toppings especially the pork chashu. I do appreciate that the tuna roll has more fish than rice! I would come back again just to get ramen!

This is my second attempt at Mikoto and it's a 2.5-3 star kinda place that hovers in the ok margin. Last time I was here I had ramen, a solid 3, so this time I opted for the "sushi" side of the house, a tuna poke and sushi roll. My goodness, the sushi is like rubber with old seaweed, I was socked at the poor quality given previous reviews. The poke was a joke with ingredients stacked on top of each other- pineapple, mango, avocado, served with some funky sweet sauce, I've had better poke and topping options from the grocery store. The poke is also supposed to be served with miso soup per their menu, I never got the soup, but didn't complain about it either since I didn't feel I missing out but the error should've been caught. Now for the "tea" ugggg it's a tea bag. They should really put tea bag on the menu so you know what you're paying for, I could put a teabag in hot water at home. Overall, the food isn't something I'd return for. The service is interesting as they bring out dishes as soon as ready vs timing the tables order, in our case this meant our dishes were served 10 minutes apart resulting in one of us waiting for the other so we could eat together. Service and food quality could certainly be improved.

Very yummy gyoza. It was super chill inside of the restaurant and the server was nice. They do serve tap water, so bring your own water if you care about that

The menu here is impressive. The variety of ramen they have and the sushi and all the pre-eats made this a no-brainer when we were looking for something new to try in the area.Hubby dug into the dumplings so fast I couldn't take a picture lol. Egg rolls were yummy and crispy. The mega pork ramen was so good. So much pork. Oh lord it was heaven.. mega is correct. And that bowl was huge. I was so shocked when they brought it over. I left very full and happy.Hubby got chicken Paitan ramen and loved it. He's new to the ramen game and he was very happy with his ramen.

It feels very bad for service!! The waitstaff's stern demeanor was quite off-putting, though the chef's dishes were decent.
