Miguels Restaurant

Shout out to Miguel's. I recently discovered their hamburgers. One of the best burgers I have had anywhere. I get mine on a jalapeño bun with guacamole. My husband gets a regular cheeseburger and adds their amazing hot sauce.

Always delicious. The steak fingers are the best anywhere. Fajitas are delicious. Cobb salad the best. We love their food. They have struggles like many other places during these last few years but they always have good service and great food. Our go-to restaurant. The atmosphere has always been a constant. It is Tex-Mex comfort food.

When traveling, Peg and I like to take the back roads; such was the case when we returned from a recent trip to Frisco. Before we left the hotel, I did a Yelp search and came across Miguel's. It interested me in that it had almost as many one-star reviews as fives. Never let it be said that we're not adventurous, so off we went.Before we went to the restaurant, we stopped for gas. We asked some locals what they thought and got basically the same answers as the reviews. We pulled up to find a teepee in the front of the property; no surprise, given the name of the town. Entering the restaurant was almost like entering an art museum--large and small woodcarvings abounded as well as photos, framed art and murals by Polly Reed, a local artist.I had noted in some reviews that the waitresses were somewhat less than friendly but that wasn't the case with us. Drinks, chips and salsa soon appeared and our order was taken: "Ladies' Special" for Peg and carne guisada for me. We munched on the chips and salsa and both of us agreed that we're had better. Evidently no effort was made to heat the chips and the salsa wasn't long on flavor; not horrible, just blah.During the abnormally long time we spent waiting for our food, we walked around taking a photo here and there. We returned to our seats and about twenty minutes later, the food appeared (total wait time of a little over thirty minutes). Both plates were lukewarm but seeing as our waitress had disappeared, we decided to eat as we were both famished. Neither of us was impressed with the food. Again, we both had certainly had worse but after a long drive, neither plate was satisfying. A bit of the salsa helped but unfortunately, not much. At least our bellies were full and there were no adverse reactions later in the day.So, I'll rate Miguel's in the middle with three stars. I have to say, after seeing a couple of burgers come out, we just may be temped to stop and try them. Time will tell.

Decent little Mexican place. Loved that we all got our own little salsa bowls instead of having to share one and then beg for more. Especially given that service was slow and inattentive. The chips were cold and bland and the fajitas were nothing special but filling. We split the fajitas for one and were stuffed. Friends really liked the inexpensive lunch combos. FYI- No breakfast, and no black beans.

It was a nice quiet place. The food was great and wait staff very good. We will be coming back.

Mexican restaurant but can't speak Spanish at all when they answer the phone. Don't bother, the food is not worth it either, we've been there multiple times without any improvement.

Good food and service. The owner is amazing as well and treats you like family. And she is so sweet.

So, first off, reading these other reviews I may have ordered the wrong thing as many reviews say their burgers are good. However I was in the mood for tex mex. Decided I should stop somewhere on my long drive back home and I ended up here. Salsa tasted like it came out of a jar but queso was pretty good. Monterrey plate had a taco which was just a normal taco and a burrito which was just a burrito. Server asked me if I wanted onions on my enchilada, and I said yes but man this thing was loaded with onions every bite way over the top. Rice was just rice and beans weren't my favorite. However, ground beef in all 3 had great flavor and the enchilada sauce was delicious. Not a bad spot to have lunch at. Good service as well!

Haven't been in for a long time, And Now I remember Why, Food greasy, But exceptionally fast getting to us, Never receive Drink refills, and waitress was Helpful, But one particular person working there was a little rude, Now we remember Why we don't eat there, If Nicky isn't there, We will not go back in an eat

Awesome place to eat. Service was great. The food came sour quick and hot. Very nice little restauran.
