This was my first time enjoying Texas barbecue and this place did not disappoint. We got there about one hour before closing and a lot of their popular items were sold out which means this is a good place. We ordered the brisket, German sausage and smoked turkey. I thought the brisket was very flavorful. I know people have commented on the fat content, but that's just brisket. Don't sleep on the smoked turkey that was probably, one of the best smoked turkeys I've ever had. I also thought the German sausages were great. They had a nice snap to it. For sides, we ordered the cream, corn and baked beans. The creamed corn is a very unique flavor just different than anything I've ever had. I liked it. For dessert we ordered the mud pie and this was a combination of a mousse and a brownie. Delicious. The staff are friendly they explained what was on the menu and how to order. This style of ordering is not something I've ever done before. You can order by the slice by the pound. It's basically however much meat you want. You definitely need to check them out.

It seems I am in the minority, but I really disliked everything I tried at this BBQ joint. When we arrived all the brisket was sold out- apparently this is super common. I decided on the rotisserie chicken instead and my husband got a pulled pork sandwich. We shared the mac and cheese, creamed corn and potato salad. My husband liked his sandwich, I did not try it. But the chicken was incredibly dry. Sam's club has better chicken for a fraction of the price. The mac and cheese was just slop and was almost tasteless. The creamed corn was just... creamed corn. You really cant mess that up. My husband said the potato salad was good.I just felt really defeated after looking forward to this- and its not a cheap meal getting BBQ out these days. The staff were also just a bunch of kids and didn't seem to take their job very seriously. For me, a pass.

The service was great. There was no wait time for food and it was hot and fresh. The atmosphere was exactly what a good Texas BBQ restaurant should be. The best thing anyone ordered: the jalapeño bacon Mac and cheese with penne pasta. It seems ridiculous to say that the Mac and cheese is a reason to visit this place but I stand behind it. It was amazing. The good: the brisket, the large loaded potatoes, and surprisingly the creamed corn. The bad: the pulled pork was subpar for a bbq restaurant.Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and we would eat here again.

A great place for bbq! I tried the sliced brisket sandwich. Cooked to a perfect, tender consistency. The creamed corn was rich and sweet. Loved the banana pudding, wish it had more wafers in it! Can't wait to try some of the other options!

This was our (dad, bro and I) first meal on a recent weekend Texas trip (planned the whole trip around the Cowboys game on sunday as my dad is a huge fan). We had researched on Google Reviews as well as Yelp to see where the good bbq was. This resto scored highly on both platforms and also happened to be 20 min away from our hotel so we figured it was worth the trek.We told the guy at the register that it was our first time and we wanted to try a lil bit of everything. He got us a platter which included a bunch of assorted meats at which point, I asked him if he had any beef ribs left. He proceeded to show the 3 of us one of the biggest dinosaur bones I've seen in my life. We also grabbed a banana pudding from the fridge and got some mac n cheese on the side as well. The food was delicious! We did find some of the meats to be a lil on the salty side and we also had our own top 3.For me the top 3 out of the the meats we tried were:1. the beef rib: this thing had the craziest bark but was so tender that my plastic knife was cutting through it like butter with no other utensil required2. prime rib: medium rare and super juicy3. pork ribs: even though they had gotten a lil cold, the meat still tore off the bones cleanly with each bite (I know texans don't usually put sauce on their pork ribs but that's how I like mine so I doused my ribs in the tableside bbq sauce; it was on the runny side and was too peppery)A lot of folks have been raving about the brisket in multi-platform reviews but if I'm being honest, the fatty brisket we requested didn't really wow us. We may have gotten a poor batch out of many (which happens). While the meat did pull apart with a fork, it was slightly dry which was unfortunate. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was a good amount of spicy for me (but not for my dining companions) however, they were a tad too salty imo.Turkey was actually a sleeper hit! Still moist but a lil cold. The mac n' cheese was NOT our cup of tea lol. They used ziti or penne shells which is fine, but the problem is how incredibly overcooked the pasta was. It was basically mush (echoing what a couple other recent reviewers have said). All in all it was a great experience! This place certainly lived up to the hype. The menu is pretty huge so ofc we didn't get to try everything we wanted to. I'm definitely curious about the chicken and pulled pork.On a return visit, I know what items to skip now (sausage, mac n' cheese). Beef Rib is a *MUST ORDER* (consensus #1 rank by us).Banana pudding was quite generic tasting. I did enjoy the wafers adding texture to each bite (kinda wished they put some more in the cup).Side note: The beef rib was like $70 USD which was basically price-equivalent to the platter of meats we got. After searching online, it does seem like $50 is more of a fair market price so it looks like we got upcharged. I will say though, that the beef rib was better than anything else we had by a mile.

If you like potato salads. YOU HAVE TO GET THEIRS! Might be one of the best I've ever had. -potato salad is a must - skip the mac and cheese, flavor, and texture could have been better- pulled pork is everything. Must get!Really like this spot! Would 10/10 come back again.

This spot was open on Memorial Day! Grateful for the staff working on a holiday. I tried the ribs, cole slaw, potatoe salad, bbq beans, mac &cheese, jalapeño cheddar links, and smoked chicken. Ribs- some tenderness in feel the rib and flavorful could have been kicked up Cole slaw- watered down and a bit too sweetPotatoe salad- nice balanced flavorBeans- nice and Smokey w/ plenty of meatJalapeño Mac & cheese- creamy, a bit of spice, noodle not over cookedLinks- mild mix of spice and cheeseSmoked chicken- nice smokey taste could have had more moisture The bbq sauce is ok... the lighter of the two is the best and has the best balance of flavor. There was no clear distinction between spicy and non Worth trying at least once.

Don't be fooled by the rave reviews for breakfast tacos... maybe if you're a bachelor you doest't cook. Buffet liquid eggs, mission tortillas... no thanks. If anything pick up some brisket and make your own at home with fresh eggs, tortilla and good quality cheese

I ordered the sandwich combo and tried to explain that I didn't want a drink and asked for a side instead of fries. The girl behind the register mostly blinked instead of answering my questions. I ended up with a $23 bill for a sandwich and two sides. I just wanted water and instead of just giving me a cup, she charged me for bottled water. I was the only person in line, so it wasn't an issue of being busy and in a rush. The sandwich was fine with plenty of meat, but the cole slaw and potato salad were nothing special. They also came in tiny containers for $4.00. I didn't notice anyone smiling or making eye contact so the vibe wasn't exactly friendly. I had an appointment to get to so I didn't ask for a manager. I understand that all restaurants are raising prices but this is just plain gouging.

Having eaten at over 300 barbecue restaurants, I'm a fairly good judge of quality. MeatUAnywhere is a top-tier barbecue joint, not to be missed. Upon entering, you will join a line waiting to place your order. There's always a line during peak times. Don't worry though, the line moves quickly. The barbecue is an excellent representation of true Texas barbecue. It's slow smoked just feet from the service counter. The briskets have a thick smoke ring and peppery bark, just like you expect in Texas. Each meat option is prepared with the same expertise. Don't miss the Turkey breast. It's melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. If you order their sandwich, I hope you're hungry. It's going to take both hands. My wife loves the brisket breakfast tacos. And incidentally, my wife worked at a barbecue restaurant in Abeline in her college years, and pretty much refuses to go willingly to any barbecue joint now, apart from this one. Here is the bottom line, if you are visiting the DFW area and want a true taste of Texas, this is the restaurant I would recommend. For Texans that know good barbecue, this is easily a top 50. The Grapevine location has a small footprint. Parking can be a bear. If you have a choice, don't arrive during peak times. The restaurant has a Texas vibe. It's casual, and the tables are close together. It does get a bit noisy. There's a second location down HWY 114 heading west. It's a little larger and just as awesome. If you eaten at MeatUAnywhere, you've had true Texas barbecue. Add that accomplishment to your culinary resume.
