Kirsten...pronounced Kerrrrrsten...is the BEST bartender we have EVER come across!!! She works Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Please go so her!!! They have 5 count Corona buckets for $13 or $3.25 for singles (which are $5 a piece anywhere else) and free pool Wednesdays and $.50 pool on any other given day. If you are looking for a true dive bar this is the place! Karaoke dj is alot of fun and the manager Jamie is awesome! Drink prices are very good and they mix anything you can think of!

Everyone here is so friendly and the bartenders are AWESOME!!! From the second you walk in, you are greeted and feel welcome... By far the BEST bar in town. I know I wouldn't think about going any where else...

I'm giving high marks to Maxine's because it's hard to find a good dive bar around town these days and this place is a good one. I didn't review after my first visit about a year ago because I was there with some friends that were obviously VIPs there from the service and attention we attracted upon our arrival. This time I was with other, less popular friends. We still got great service, the beer was cold and the bartender friendly and funny. Old School jukebox and shots, what more could you need?

When you go to Maxine's, the Bartender are nice and will take care of you if drinking is what you want. But don't expect much for Karoke. I have been there twice and the DJ does not run an efficient Karoke. There were 3 and 5 singers when I went, if you sing within an hour or 90 minutes, you are lucky. I understand if there is a list of 15 to 20, but not 3 to 5. The DJ rather drink and smoke outside while his machine plays, and sometimes you hear commercials. Better run Karoke bar close to there is A Great Notion. If you want a nice bar to drink, I recommend Maxine's, to do Karoke, go somewhere else.

Kind of fun to go in here once in a while. From the conversation, I think it's mostly regulars.Be forewarned - this is a smokey place. You will come out of here smelling like cigs.Pool tables, dance floor, and games.I generally go to the bar, order a bourbon and coke, and people watch for a while. Not a place I'd want to go every week, but every now and then it's a hoot!

A small but great bar to go to, 4 pool tables and lots of dart boards, karaoke twice a month on friday, friendly people. It grows on you!
