Finding great Tex-Mex in Fort Worth has been more challenging than expected, but Maria's has become a standout option. I've visited twice, and both times, the restaurant was bustling--reservations are highly recommended. Even the parking lot fills up quickly, which speaks to its popularity. We started with queso, it does come with meat and as a vegetarian, I requested no meat and asked they serve the toppings (sour cream and guacamole) on the side. The queso itself was rich and flavorful, and the chips were thicker than usual, pairing well with the fresh and vibrant salsa. While the menu isn't particularly vegetarian-friendly, the staff was accommodating. I ordered the Enchiladas Tres Colores and swapped the sour cream sauce for ranchero, as I prefer bolder flavors. The mole and ranchero sauces were my favorites. However, I was disappointed to learn that the black beans contain lard and the rice is made with chicken stock, with no vegetarian alternatives available. I hope the restaurant considers offering substitutions in the future.Despite not listing vegetable fajitas on the menu, they were able to prepare a version for me, and the addition of grilled pineapple was a delicious touch. For dessert, my first visit included the Cinco Leches cake, which I had high hopes for, but it was unfortunately dry and lacked the rich, milky texture I expected. On my second visit, I opted for flan, which was much better. The staff mentioned that the consistency was slightly off that day and generously comped it.I also tried the Avo Maria margarita, expecting a spicy kick, but found it to be overly lime-forward and underwhelming.Overall, Maria's has become my go-to spot for enchiladas, and I appreciate their willingness to accommodate dietary requests. However, I'd love to see more vegetarian-friendly options, particularly by removing lard from the beans and chicken stock from the rice--or at least offering substitutions. Additionally, on my second visit, the server didn't inquire about dietary preferences, which would have been helpful.Looking forward to my next visit and hoping for even more options for vegetarian diners in the future!

Not a fan. I don't think there's a single restaurant off of university that I do not like with consideration to their respective price categories except for this one. Maria's was something to look forward to when the old steakhouse moved, but i was sorely disappointed. I meant to write this review when it first opened but forgot until i went through my phone to clear out old photos.Maria's "hot sauce", tasted like they opened up a can of tomato paste and added some water and salt to it. Had no flavor or texture; possibly the worst sauce at a restaurant we ever tasted. Presentation of the meals were nice, and my husband's meal was ok. I however, ordered an entrée that included fish, and the fish had clearly gone bad. It had a really gross consistency and even worse flavor. I was highly disappointed as I really wanted to like this place because it looked cute. The aesthetics of the restaurant are on point however the atmosphere is not great in that they did not take into consideration any sound absorption when designing. They pack so many tables into small spaces that it gets unbearably loud for dinner. Not a great place to go on a date. The service was OK, but nothing spectacular, and it is the main reason for the one star rating. While the waiters were nice, it took so long to get any attention, especially in light of my meal being completely bad. By the time they came back to check on us, my husband was half way done through his food, and was sharing his meal with me. Additionally, the only reason we aren't giving it a second chance is the valet service. Parking used to be free here. Tell me why in the world you would charge customers to valet their cars that your valet parks only a few feet from the entrance, while consequentially blocking ALL parking spots and forcing your customers that opt to park themselves to walk from much further spaces down the street? Makes no rational sense, right up there with tipping for fast food.So glad Quince arrived!

Amazing! Very friendly service I appreciate how much room you are given at a table. I especially enjoyed the kitchen view.Fresh juices for brunch. I ordered the seafood enchiladas, which was packed with a generous portion of fresh, high quality seafood. I appreciated three separate sauces and presentations. My kids ate the flauntas, which were some of the best I've had. I like that they were wider than traditional flauntas, which increased the ratio of meat to shell. We had a great time and look forward to being back.If I had to leave negative comments, I have two. First, my cappuccino was slightly burnt. I would recommend they source their beans differently. Second, parking is difficult. I got the last spot. There's not much parking available. Neither of these come close to costing Maria's a star. This is a solid 5 star from me.

I came here with a group of 6 and good thing we had a reservation because it gets crowded! Upon entering, you can tell that this place is definitely upscale, and has a limited menu of items to choose from. To start off we had complimentary chips and salsa but also ordered a side of the queso which was delicious! The chips were also super crunchy and paired well with the salsa. They kept bringing chips before our meal, and I got halfway full since they were hard to resist! For my main meal, I went with the enchiladas tres colores with chicken. Our meals arrived fairly quickly and I liked my enchiladas! The green enchilada and the sour cream enchiladas were my favorite! The mole enchilada was okay but in general I'm not the biggest fan of mole sauce. Each enchilada had a great amount of chicken, and I felt stuffed after eating two enchiladas. Overall this place is worth the hype, and I plan to come back if I'm in Ft. Worth.

This place really is amazing. The food, service, ambiance, decor, drinks, they just do it right in every department! The chips and salsa taste fresh and authentic. We had the tres colores enchiladas substituted with the almond sauce instead of mole and it was absolutely delicious! Each sauce was perfect. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and these are some of the best enchiladas ever. I had their espresso martini and it was fresh espresso and strong, the way I like it! This place is such a cute photo prop, it's absolutely beautiful inside and they have a cute patio that I hope to enjoy when the weather gets warmer. Service is friendly my man took me here on new years and we were able to get a cozy booth right away. Overall amazing experience we can't wait to come back!

From the get go this place was honestly delicious. It's very cute for aesthetics and visual needs. You walk in with a warm greeting by the hosts to an absolute stellar server I think her name was Star, you were an absolutely star by the way! But you're not here for this, you're here for story time. Walking in, an air of warmth of smiles are immediately given by the staff. Promptly seated Eddie and I ask for recommendations as I had scanned the menu prior to arriving. Star recommended the three color enchiladas with seafood and some other items. We chose that the short rib sopes alongside a full pound of shrimp fajita. The braised short rib was absolutely melt in your mouth with hints of pickles creating bright harmonious fireworks in my mouth. 10/10 would eat again. Seafood enchiladas I would go green, red, and then white being my favorite to least. They were all good and the seafood was cooked perfectly and paired super well. I ordered some crispy potatoes on the side and was definitely dipping those delicious nuggets of golden brown through the sauces. Life hack, you are definitely welcomed. Shrimp fajita; pineapples, peppers and onions oh my. Though I wasn't fan of the seasoning of the pineapple (was it taijin?) it was still tenderizing the veggies and shrimp to create plump yet succulent bites. The rice and guac provided were pretty good too. Flan and five milk cakes for dessert were definitely the best desserts I've had in a while. Flan was custardy and definitely had a nice jiggle jiggle in the middle while the five milk cakes had nice evenly moist bites with coconuts spreading through any place it could in my mouth. Overall lunch date in Fort Worth was a huge success and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. Hugo's in Houston has a run for his money because I like this more than I do there. -chefs kiss-

This place is incredible! My first time here and as soon as I walked in I fell in love. It's a beautiful restaurant. Onto the chips, salsa, and queso.. so so good! I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had steak fajitas. Everything has so much flavor including the beans and rice which I typically don't eat elsewhere due to lack of flavor. 10/10 have already decided to come back for my birthday in a few weeks. Well worth our drive.

What an amazing experience it was to have Lunch here. For starters big shout out to Imani the hostess, who has by far the best personality ever. The service here is exceptional from start to finish. I like the fact that the waitstaff all contribute, so you don't have one particular waiter. The food was excellent!!! I had the Shrimp Ceviche, which was so nice and spicy. For my meal I had the enchiladas Tres Colores which were amazing and full of flavor!! The cocktails were great too, we had Mi Chinita and the Armenta Margarita. Overall great place!!
