Margaret McDermott Bridge

Beautiful bridge, which is surprising considering that it's a major one. The Margaret McDermott Bridge carries Interstate 30 across the Trinity River joining Dallas and West Dallas. But it's only four stars because the nearby Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is fantastic. Also, there are a few issues with the bridge that needed repair to the sections that carry pedestrians and bicycles.A concrete bridge, it includes two suspension arches on each side of the bridge that peak at 350 feet high. It is quite pretty with a main span of 1125 feet. Ten lanes of traffic includes one reversible lane that can swap for traffic.There is no toll to cross the bridge. Named after Terry McDermott, this is a bridge that can be found just to the west of the downtown Metroplex.Located in Dallas, you will find this bridge which is Iconic along with the other bridges on either side of it.It's beautiful and well done and it's one of the memorable aspects of the downtown Dallas area.
