Absolutely loved my experience here today! I bought groupons for my mom, a friend, and I for our birthdays and we had so much fun.It was super easy to call and book everything over the phone. They took down my groupon voucher number and we selected the day to come. We received a warm welcome and told where to sit. Make Expression is a medium sized art studio with several tables surrounded by shelves full of owls, cups, bowls, dinosaurs, and anything else you can think of that can be painted. Imagine it and they have it!Kate was our instructor and she was super nice, encouraging, and helpful. I did not do the best job with my painting, but she told me that anything we do can be fixed--and she wasnt lying. Literally I made so many mistakes and I just painted right over it. A little bit of white and yellow paint really goes a long way. I am not sure if the wine messed up my painting skills or not--but, my painting turned out okay. I think I may hang it where no one can see it, but I am so glad that I tried anyway! My mom and my friend also had a great time and their paintings turned out amazing!!I definitely recommend Make Expression for families and childrens birthday parties. I love that you can bring in your own wine, but this is definitely a more family friendly place versus a girls night spot. It was still a great experience though!

Came here after seeing an instagram post about it as something for my daughter to as a birthday present. Not really impressed by this place. No direction on what to do with the glass fusion. Somewhat was told how to do the mosaic. Daughter had more fun at Color Me Mine than this place.

This place was so much fun! They have so many options and their prices are very reasonable. Staff is very nice and helpful. Wish they had more holiday options but this was a great activity!

Loved it!!!! Great atmosphere, many different items to design, paint, make and choose from. Relaxing environment, staffs are friendly, helpful, and interactive. Staffs actually really care about their customers! I sat and watch them check every so often on each customer (that was awesome to me). I did canvas painting and my son did pottery painting, it's lots of fun, and something cool to do with the family.I will be visiting again, maybe for candle making on my next visit.

My daughters (9&7) attended the cartooning class today --it was wonderful! They went above and beyond to gently teach all the children at the table and it shows in the artwork. The woman teaching was extremely kind, encouraging and helpful. This was a $10 special (per kid) and we'll definitely be going back! It was a great way to introduce our children to the art scene and make sure they were interested before committing to weekly classes. Give them a try!

Summer camps are a big scam. The description indicates 2 projects per day however one of those projects is watercoloing on plain piece of paper. Save your money and time. It's not worth the price you pay.

I was mostly disappointed by my experience. I came in with my three kids to create a ceramics gift for Mother's Day. We were the only ones in the shop and the customer service was disappointing. The employee working was on her phone almost the entire time. My son asked her a question three times, I asked twice before she noticed. She sent us to get our own paint without any help or instructions. She never checked in on us, never offered to get help or see if we needed anything. I don't mind spending a bit more for an experience. I tried this shop because it was closer to our house but I'll return to some of the other shops in the area I have been to before that were much more family-friendly and helpful.

Not a good place if you'd like to have a stressless party for your kiddos...had a birthday party for my 11 year old with 12 friends, and all host did was to teach the kids how to paint the pottery and that's literally all, no serving food or anything, we had to be our own waitress to pass out food, drinks and organize kids to sing birthday songs. But anyways pottery was great, just not a place for party.

We have been there for drop in art a few times and always loved the experience. However, my daughter just had her 10 year old birthday there and it was not a great experience. Overall the staff was not helpful from start to finish. The moment we walked in the door, they did the least amount of effort at every stage. They didn't help bring in anything or even ask to help take anything out. My mom and I ran the party. Which for $675 is crazy. For further detail--the room was hot but party host insisted we keep door closed, I had to continuously ask for additional support with additional paper towels, brushes and paint, there was no matches to light candles and that was never expressed in any conversations, there were limited pencils for kids to use, the paper towels were out in bathroom...and the host made comments on the volume of the kids while I was signing the tab at the end. It was 22, 10 year olds--volume is expected. No one was misbehaving--they were kids having fun at a birthday party. Honestly, if no tip were an option on the credit card receipt, I would have. It was greatly disappointing.I have had 4 friends ask about the party since I posted pictures--and although the kids had a blast--I cannot in my right mind recommend your facility for birthday parties. Your staff isn't excited about them and the money was entirely too high for the experience.

My teenage daughter and I had a lot of fun making art together one recent Sunday afternoon. The studio wasn't very busy - and there were plenty of projects to select from. It was a nice experience - definitely recommend.
