Lucky Wok

A decent cheap chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. Looks like a husband wife duo running the place. With only a few tables for dine out. Most customer, looks like lot of local, ordered for to go. A chinese restaurant with very low price and no MSG. They have to compensate with seasoning like the sauces. Soy sauce, oyster sauce, etc. Service was fast considering the guy cooked to order. Nothing on the warmer. Not from scratch but with prepared item and sauces. Taste was okay. Average but good deal for the price. Cheaper than a big fast food chain cost nowadays. A good option for quick cheap chinese meal.

I had a really good takeout meal at the Lucky Wok off I-20 and Forest Hills. The best chicken Lo Mein I have had in a long time. The General Chicken was good but not very spicy. My order was ready in 15 minutes and packaged nicely for pickup. Several people were dining inside, and 3 other people were picking up orders. Small, but very busy restaurant on the side of a strip mall. Large & small order sizes with very reasonable prices.

The food here is always good me and my sibling's always come to get fried rice or orange chicken there the best Chinese restaurant thy never treated us bad there were always nice and friendly if I'm ever curving some Chinese food this is the place I definitely recommend going too!

I went here expecting the prices to be great and the food to be okay. Well, the prices were higher than I expected because I had seen prices online that were a lot better on two different menus 1 old and 1 that had been updated. But the food was a little better than I expected. My son had the Szechuan tofu and he said it was good. We split the vegetable fried rice and the vegetable lo mein which were both average they need a little more flavor, but did contain a good amount of vegetables which i liked. I had the Happy Family which was good and would have been better with a thicker sauce. I also had the cream cheese won tons. They were really good. My son had the crispy spring rolls and he liked those. We had a lot of left overs to take home. The service was great and the food came out so hot we could not even eat it at first. The ambiance was about the same as any other Chinese restaurant.

The food is yummy, the portions are generous, the quality of food and service is prompt and great. The prices are good.

This has been my go-to chinese for years! The best handmade steamed dumplings in the area. Everything is good, you won't be disappointed with the wonton soup, fried rice or sesame chicken. The crab rangoons are some of the best I've had. Def recommend to anyone wanting good Chinese!

No frills Chinese place catering to a small local crowd and people passing through like me. Clean inside and located very close to Interstate 20. Family owned and operated; cooking done by the parents and the register and front ran by the older son. Reminded me of my own father's restaurant, as the cooking was done by him and the front ran by the kids. Being a Chinese restaurant in Texas cannot be easy, and I give them a pass when referring to their very Caucasian menu tailored to that very crowd that will help keep them afloat. So when I come to places like this I don't expect super Chinese food from the homeland. However, that doesn't mean I'm going to order the General Tso's whatsit...I try to eat the dishes that have more Chinese than Westernized influence (such as black bean sauce).Food portions were big, tasted good and was made quickly. Only real critique is there was TOO much sauce (for me). However, the wontons in the soup had exceptional flavor and were made from scratch. Get them!

I'll start by saying, I have had great experiences here before. Really have enjoyed the owners and the food. Here's where I have a heart breaking experience. On a Sunday afternoon, I ordered for take out. I arrive a few minutes before my food is set to be ready(1:30pm). I go to walk in, and the door is closed and the restaurant is shut. It's a Sunday so I'm assuming I somehow was able to order when they were closed, fair enough. I go back to my car to see if I can dispute the charges. As I'm doing that, the very kind owners pull up with bags and are clearly rushing to get in. Maybe they were away for lunch? Unsure. But from the time they get in, to the time I'm leaving with my food, it was less than 15 minutes. I had a bad feeling about it all as it was happening but I talked myself out of it and went home and enjoyed take out and waiting for my husband to return to enjoy as well. Anyway, fast forward to that night - worst food poisoning of our lives. It was a full exorcism. The food from Lucky wok was only food we both had that overlapped that day so we can only assume it wasn't anything else. I only share this because while the food is very good, I cannot believe they practice food safety. From a cold store to fully completed meals in less than 15 minutes... anyway, heart breaking because we are lacking decent food in the area.

Wow! The food here is amazing. We were lead here by the reviews and they definitely stand true. We ordered the Jalapeno Chicken, Szechuan Chicken and Egg Foo Young, Every bite was an explosion of flavor. The food was piping hot the entire meal. This is a must try and definitely on rotation for us.
