Lucky Bamboo Kitchen

My family loves coming to Lucky Bamboo. The food is always cooked perfectly and the flavors are exactly what we want when eating Chinese food. Portions are on the generous side so expect to take plenty of leftovers home. Haven't ordered a single plate that didn't taste good wouldn't order again. The thing that stands out the most is the service. We have the same one of two waiters and even when it's been a long time since last dining there the staff remembers our kids and they are entertainingly silly with them. I can't say this is absolutely going to happen if you take your littles, but I don't know why our kids would be treated any differently. So it's fun for our kids which is unique because, let's face it, kids get bored at restaurants really quickly and start behaving in a way ya don't want them to. With this playful staff, and yeah the TVs, everyone's happy and able to enjoy the delicious plates.

I'm very confused by the 4 and 5 star reviews. I just received my to-go delivery order, and I am so disappointed. I ordered chicken with broccoli, spring rolls, and egg drop soup. Simply put, the chicken with broccoli is tasteless. I've had chicken with broccoli with both brown and white sauce before from other restaurants, and it's been flavorful. The white sauce version of the dish I received from Lucky Bamboo tonight is bland! On the other hand, I do like my egg drop soup, so I'm giving them an extra star for the soup, but please do NOT order chicken with broccoli if you're seeking the usual saucy, savory version of this classic dish.

LOVE THIS PLACE. I was extremely hungry and I placed an online order 20 minutes before closing. And I was worried that the food would be rushed and not be cooked well. But when I got there, the lady working was super nice and caring and took really good care of me. She offered sauces and h tensile. Loved her. Ambiance was really nice as well, cute store and felt homey

Really wanted to like this place, especially after all the good reviews. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, considering it was a takeout order. Got a variety of dishes, including the sesame chicken, spicy vegetable lo mein, spicy garlic chicken, chicken fried rice and cream cheese Rangoons along with some of their egg rolls. Family enjoyed the egg rolls and fried rice. Can't really go wrong with those. Unfortunately the lo mein had absolutely no flavor, considering it was spicy. Had to pile on some soy sauce and salt to enjoy it a bit more, though I'm sure my heart did not appreciate the add-ons. I was the only one that had the spicy garlic chicken and had to live it that whole night. Not sure if I'll try it again, considering the side effects I had.

Been searching for a good Chinese food place for a while in DFW and this one takes the cake! The lady who I picked up my to-go order from was super sweet and the food was just as great! Will for sure be back!

Try the Pickled Cabbage! It's slightly sweet and can be eaten like potato chips with a satisfying crunch.

Food was excellent- hot and perfectly spicy!! Service- great to talk with owner - she was friendly, and helpful- the food came out quickly and we walked in right before closing!Nice restaurant- decorated tastefully- prices were great as well!!

Ordered delivery of beef fried rice and egg rolls. The egg rolls were of the style I remember with the excellent fried won ton(?) wrap instead of the new-fangled very thin wrap which I don't care for that seems to be the norm now. These were very tasty and had some substance to them.The fried rice was good, and the beef was very lean and tender, however the rice could have used a little more oyster sauce as it was a little on the bland side. I added some soy sauce which helped, but in my opinion a little more oyster sauce and some chopped scallions would have been a plus.All in all, it was very good and we'll order more from them.

My job had ordered Lucky Bamboo for todays lunch, and I'm honestly appalled by the experience. Everything was going fine until I found a worm in my meal. My colleague immediately brought it to the attention of the staff, but the response was less than apologetic. No offer to replace the meal or even an apology. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a place that should be following basic food safety standards. Needless to say, I won't be coming back and I won't be recommending this place to anyone, especially not for a work event. It's a shame, because we were hoping to make it a regular spot. Very disappointed.

We were in the Richardson area and happened upon the Lucky Bamboo Kitchen. Our 13 month old was exhausted from our trip and very grumpy. The owners took time to play with him and entertain him while we ate and now he has new friends!! It was so kind and thoughtful!! The service was perfect! The food was fresh and delicious!! We will be back when we are near this area again. We highly recommend this restaurant!!
