Well, we gave it another try.Boy are we regretting that!This one takes the cake... even after calling them to report the STEEL BRISTLE STABBED INTO MY SON'S GUMS from the Barbacoa tacos!We love menudo on the weekends.We also love Barbacoa tacos!But our eyes are bigger than our bellies....So we take to-go leftovers for the day after.Well, this morning, my son was enjoying his left over barbacoa tacos when he made this excruciating face and extracted the steel brush wire from his gums! Thankfully he didn't swallow it causing even WORSE damage.When he called the restaurant he was offered ANOTHER taco, when all he asked for was a change in policy. Just don't use the steel brushes... these have been known to cause SERIOUS problems. Stabbing. Infections. Peritoneal perforations, some of these requiring SURGERY and Even causing sepsis!You need to stop using these steel brushes. They are detrimental to your health and that of your patrons!

Was in the area and decided to drop in. Great ambiance! We had a birthday so all the waiters came by to sing HBD! Food was good. I had the enchiladas 7/10 Tex mex! Great place for drinks and big group!

I have only been here twice and with fairly large groups both times. The margaritas were better last year when I went. On my recent visit it was not good, which may have been a good thing, since it made me not order another. I was asked if I wanted salt on the rim, I said yes, but did not get salt. It could have been that I just said, "Margarita on the Rocks", instead of checking the menu. Maybe I ordered a better one last year. The food is good. My husband liked his shrimp fajitas. I took home his tortillas and they are wonderful. My spinach quesadilla was good. Their salsa is good, which is a must for me at a Mexican restaurant. It's loud in the restaurant. I am sure our large group contributed to the noise level. Not a complaint, just pointing out the noise level. Sorry no food photos. We only had people photos...

Get great food and service. We had a lot to doggie bag. While not spicy it is tasty. I suggest a hot sauce and enjoy the appetizer with cheese and chorizo. Queso Fondido (sp)Portions are big for entrees as side dish.

My Dallas family brought me here while I was visiting, this is their favorite Mexican restaurant. I've traveled all over the country, eating countless Mexican and Tex-Mex and this is BY FAR the best Mexican food you will eat!!!The Steak fajita nachos are expertly seasoned and hand crafted...the steak super tender and incredible quality. The star of the show was easily the Pork Tamales. They were absolutely the best I ever eaten, whatever recipe they are using for the Masa, it's pure gold. Atmosphere was fantastic, staff and service are top notch! This will be my can't miss spot when I'm back in town.

We have been customers of this restaurant since its first location at hwy 114 and 377, and we followed them to downtown Roanoke. We usually sit at the bar, but often bring the whole family, or our friend group. Always visiting 1-2 times a week, unless traveling.Tonight, we sat at the bar, and ordered our usual Margaritas, with a little gran marnier float on top. No special prep other than one with salt, one without. We hadn't seen this bartender before, but the drinks we received were just like other visits - EXCEPT THESE DRINKS WERE DOUBLE the price we were normally charged.We always expect to pay for what we order, and since we ordered the same as always, boy were we shocked when the check came and our drinks were $20 each!!We asked that someone review our bill and make sure it was correct, we were told it was because the new bartender "put a full shot of gran marnier" in the drink. That was not noticeable in The taste of the drinks we received. We paid our bill, and on the way out asked to talk to the manager to explain our concerns. We told him we ordered what we always did on EVERY visit, and this was a bartender we hadn't seen before. He asked if we asked for a special tequila, etc and we told him we ordered the same drink in the same way as we have for over 10 years, but this drink was double, @ $20. Each. I asked him if the drink you ordered was double the usual price you paid, if you might like to be informed before you saw it on your bill and he acknowledged he would also expect to know.This has always been our go to place, and we have ALWAYS chosen it over 2-3 restaurants with the same cuisine in walking distance. We order what we want, and expect to pay for what we order. What happened to us tonight was wrong, and we can't recommend this knowing how a business treats their customers, especially when management is made aware of an issue. It makes us very sad to share this, but sadder is having the experience we had tonight.
