Lonesome Spur catered my friend's wedding and did a wonderful job. Their appetizers (bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers and chicken and waffle bites) were delicious. Their servers were friendly, attentive and quick with serving us. I tried their chips, salsa and queso along with their seasoned pulled chicken on corn tortillas and seasoned vegetables. The food was plentiful and delicious, as was the sweet tea. Based on the service received and the quality of the food, I would recommend them for your catering needs.

The Lonesome Spur is my first choice for basic breakfast in the expansive food desert between Denton and North Fort Worth. It's in what appears to be a converted livestock exchange just off the main highway through Justin - don't worry, any direct evidence of the livestock has been expunged - only the utilitarian architecture remains. The crowd is definitely local in flavor - lots of worn denim, hats, boots, and a bit of wind-burn.I've only been there during breakfast hours. In about a dozen visits, I've had a very consistently good experience, on both the food and service fronts. The breakfast specials cover the basics - eggs, pancakes, French toast, etc. Familiar food at good prices. If you're after eggs Benedict and mimosas, you're in the wrong county. Save room for a cinnamon roll. These things are about 7 inches in diameter and 2 inches high, not counting the optional (but essential) pile of pecans on top. These aren't the overly gooey messes you get at a lot of places - there's structural integrity AND good taste. Getting one of these to bring back to the wife is an essential part of my marriage maintenance program.Over the coffee station, look for the vulture sculpture fashioned from a coal shovel. It serves as a constant reminder to tip generously and put the mask back on before I get up from the table. It would be nice if they'd extend the breakfast hours past 11:00.

Lonesome Spur Catering was one of my first vendors I booked in early 2018, after rescheduling our wedding twice we finally got married August 2020 and were so easy to work with through out that time. Any changes or questions I had, they quickly made and I got quick answers back. The food is amazing! That isn't only coming for my husband & I but also from all our guest! I didn't have one person say they didn't like it. We had chips & salsa cocktail hour & than chicken fajita bar for dinner and it all went so smooth. Best part of Lonesome Spur is the owner also owns Lucky Spur Ranch so they had a full kitchen & knew what was going on & where everything was. Highly recommend using Lonesome Spur! PS...they have a restaurant in Justin you can go try out also!
