We had our corporate holiday party here last night. Perfect spot for mingling, team-building, & fun. Awesome drinks. We catered in pizza. Christian was extremely attentive, explained things well, and made it an incredible experience for the group.

Was there during the day on a Saturday afternoon. Just came here for a drink. It was a big spacious area with some games. Enjoyed a cocktail and a beer. Didn't do axe throwing but did seem fun.

Nice setup, staff isn't very instructive or helpful, they also love to LOUDLY drill in new boards while you're trying to talk or have fun. This is a nice setup in here. There's a bar, you can drink while you play, which is unusual. Most axe places I've been to don't want you drinking and throwing. More on that in a minute. The instructions before our games was abysmal and not helpful at all. First, it was hard to hear her. Second, it was maybe a canned 2 minute speech then poof - gone. We were left to fend for ourselves. There are two "games" you can play; other places offer more or make it more interactive or competitive or fun. Other places also help you throw and instruct you for longer than 2 minutes. We did manage to have fun. Pass on the Old Fashioned at the bar, by the way.Oh - most annoying - the extremely, and I mean EX-TREME-LY loud drilling and sawing going on while we were there. Sawing boards, drilling them into the walls. Not many people were here but somehow they do this during business hours - it's so loud it's very off-putting. You will be yelling a lot.I said to my girl that this felt like some rich kid bought a place because he heard axe-throwing was a thing, did none of the research or planning and just stuck in a bar too because hey people like to drink.Like I said, cute setup, no instructions, other places do it better.

Really fun!! I mean, I sucked but that's irrelevant lol. Simple set up, nice staff, great drinks - what more can you ask for?Oh...the food isn't great lol. Gives me Lunchable vibes...But the good thing is they are very close to many good restaurants in Trinity Groves :)

I really like this spot. The staff is cool and helpful with the best ways to throw the axe. It's more challenging than it looks.

Mike and Lone Star Axe throwing are hands down the best! We came into town to do a social event in coordination with a conference. Mike helped coordinate everything, his communication was outstanding and his customer service was second to none. We had a great event all attendees were thrilled with the event and it was a roaring success. I hope we get to do this again and I will not ever hesitate to lean on Mike and Lone Star again to help us throw an amazing event!

This review is for the bar inside Lone Star Axe Throwing. Friday evening, about 8:00 or so, March 31, 2023. We were out and about in Dallas, but didn't really know where to go, so searched for bars on Google Maps, and came up with 404 Rattler Bar. From the pictures, it appeared to be a neat little bar. When we arrived, we found ourselves in Lone Star Axe Throwing. The axe throwing scheduler guy called us over, and we explained that we didn't realize this is what the place would be, could we just go have a drink at the bar. Of course you can! And he proceeded to point out the myriad of free games we could play while on premise. So over to the bar we went. We were the only people seated there. They had a drink menu, which we took a look at, but the bartender had no interest whatsoever in acknowledging us. A good number of minutes later, I asked the bartender if he had any rye. "I've just got Sazerac." "Great. Can you make me a Manhattan with that?" "Technically, no. Rye doesn't go in a Manhattan." And he started getting together ingredients with sighs and eye rolls. I stopped him and told him I'd take a pass, and we quietly left to some really cool outdoor thing down the street. In retrospect, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't sorely mistaken after a solid four decades of cocktail consumption. So to the International Bartender's Association website I went. A Manhattan is: 50 ml rye whiskey20 ml Sweet Red Vermouth1 dash Angostura BittersPour over ice, stir, strain. Garnish with a cocktail cherry. Photo attached to ensure I'm not making this up. So to pretentious, rude, ruh-heally didn't want us there bartender dude, you got your wish. You didn't have to deal with us, and you won't ever again. As to the axe throwing. That looked fun, and the ten or so people in the place on a Friday night seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I came here with a large group for a birthday celebration. Reservations were made in advance. Staff was friendly and accommodating got all our orders correct. The food was nothing special. You may want to eat before hand, or enjoy one of the plenty of restaurants around the area. The reason for my rating is for the lack of bar options and their floor plan was very open compared to competitors which didn't allow for separation between parties.
